Business solution software provider 3i Infotech Ltd Monday inked a deal with Malaysia's leading development financial institution Credit Guarantee Corp Berhad (CGC) to provide its Kastle Universal Lending software.

The deal establishes 3i Infotech as one of the few companies worldwide offering a comprehensive solution addressing both the retail and corporate lending space across conventional and Islamic banking products.

CGC is primarily involved in providing credit guarantee for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

"CGC will use Kastle Universal Lending to enhance itself as an SME-friendly developmental finance institution with SME portal and SME call centres. They will also adopt a workflow based, automated and customer centric commercial credit processing system," a 3i Infotech statement said here.

The company said CGC would be able to leverage the solution to automate the loan origination process of its lending operations.

Kastle Universal Lending will be centrally deployed and accessible to CGC's 16 branches throughout the country and its client service centre.

"The solution's highly parameterised system will allow CGC to reduce time to market with innovative products aimed at specific targets. The rollout will be completed in a single phase by December 2006," the statement added.
