Theft at People's Gym Nagpur I have lost my two mobiles,wallet and vehicle keys kept in the locker provided by the gym.
I have lost my things on thursday 6th of May.
After informing to the gym manager,he told me that what you expect from us and saying that its not our responsibility.
So after this i filed an FIR against them.
So will anyone suggest me that whether i should drag them them to consumer court or not??
guys please help me because theft incident has been there in the gym,so ultimately gym is responsible , as of security issues.

no they don' charge for the locker facility!
But if they are having the locker facility,and they provide locks for the members there,so their responsibility is to look after that.
So if they are responsible ,should I drag them to consumer court??
someone stole my kindle dx from a gym locker i dont know the answer to your problem, because i don t know the legislation of your country. however, i know that irrespective of charging a special fee, every business provider in my country (czech republic) is liable for contents of the locker or any storage area designated to be used as a storing place. so, for instance, if in a restaurant someone steals your purse which is on a chair next to you, the owner of the restaurant is not liable (you placed the purse in an area which is not designated to be used as storage). on the other hand, if your wallet is stolen from your coat which is hung on a hanger, or if the content of your gym locker is stolen, the provider of such services is liable. i wish you luck, i myself am looking into this now in canada. the kindle and its cover, and taxes and related charges cost me over 700 cAD.
