    Lightbulb Ultra motors vehicle - high value,high running cost & poor quality electrical scooter

    Dear Sir / Madam,

    We have purchased HERO-UlTRA-VELOCITI Electric Scooter on 11/03/2008 at 8.00PM from M/s. Speed Zone (Dealer-Ultra Motors). The dealer said me that they have made PRE DISPATCH CHECKING and that's why vehical was shown 11KMS. reading on speedometer. He also conifrmed that battery is fully charged as he alredy made all PDC. I just ride 10KMs. from the dealer's shop and battery was discharged. I was in big trouble on the road, I tried the dealer and there was no reply from their telephone nos. Even after spending full amount of money, everybody in the neighbourhood laughed to me. I write complaint on 13-03-2008 through e-mail to company to their e-mail ID : info@ultramotors.co.uk which is registerd on their web site, But ther was no reply at all.

    As we alredy paid all payment we have to use that vehicle without peace of mind and satisfaction.

    Thre was problem in that vehical for discharging of battery with little run from the start of purchase. From last two months we observe that it hardly run 10-20Kms after full night charge, we call technician from M/s. Speed Zone. He visit to see that vehicle at our home, he obsever tempered battery and according to him it is because of over charging of vehicle. But herein it is a big question that charger provided by company are with auto cut off, so why it should be happen. Further according to speed zone's technician there is chance of explosion in battery as in tempered condition which is expressed that these vehicle are unsafe to drive. We understand now that battery provided with that vehicale is with manufacturing defects & unsafe, so I request company to replace the battery with genuine battery.


    We write to company and their local representitive Mr. Jignesh Barot (M : 9979898952, E Mail : jigneshb@ultramotors.co.uk) and put that scooter and charger to their another delaer M/s. Shery Auto Link, Thaltej for further inspetction and analysis. He now agree that these batterry are tempered but he does not able to describe the reason for that and do not agree to replace the same free of cost.


    We would like to express our view here that, while purchase of an electric vehicle we paid that much amount of money as almost same as petrol vehicle available in market, Company show us saving in running cost (Says Avergae life of battery for about 20000 -25000 Kms.) now if within just 10-12months of time if we should have to replace the battery, we understood they cheat with us to sell their products.


    Please look into the matter with priority as we sufferd a lot without vehicle for travel daily.

    we purchase marathon but after sale service is so bad. acessories are not available at all dealers . my charger is not working so i went to all dealers to new purchase charger but no answer give to me. so my marathon is complitly ded my mbl no 09328241928

    They rob people of their money provide a 'service' that is supposed to bring their company business/leads when in all actuality it does not. It does not work and it will never work.

    They should have been allowed to set shop in india to rob people . This is a chinese local product and al the stuff used in it is substandard! On top of that there is no aftersales or service . My 33000 has gone waste!!!! I wish i was somewhere abroad so i could sue them alas i crashlanded in india

    Angry Defective seat, shocker, lock and scratch prone body at a thumping price of Rs 28,000

    I purchased my ultra motor E-scooty, frame serial no. UMO80913930(L), Motor serial no. 09096048, Battery serial no. 0111208673-01/02/03/04, controller serial no. 0808010269, charger serial no. R1007001341, on 5th April 2011 from Suraj Agencies, Maharani Jhansi Road, Opp Capital Cinema, Ambala Cantt. I paid a whooping price of Rs. 27650/-.

    It is very attractive. After a week when my Mom was coming to take me from my school at dispersal, she observed that the key went inside the lock but the key was not moving, so she came in rickshaw to pick me. After then we called to Suraj agencies, one mechanic who has “fractured-leg” came with the owner of the agency and fixed the lock.

    After 30 days from purchase I and my father took the scooty for service, the mechanic just bolted the nuts and handed over it to us without using air-pressure cleansing as written in the booklet. It’s the fault of the agency as they have not provided him with the proper mechanic equipments as he has a fractured-leg, bundled in plaster. When the mechanic was fixing the nuts I saw the gentlemen having problem in fixing and moving from place to place.
    Under the seat also you fixed two plastic black color supporting ports type things which have broken as it touches the battery when we close the seat. And the shockers also are not of good quality as it does not absorb the full shock.
    The tyre-tube is another challenge. Being highly substandard quality puncture is norm. Even a wood stick is enough to damage the tube. Seeing Indian conditions and roads health, it is very offensive to dupe customers by not providing dependable parts. There are many trustable brands available in Indian market, but why UM opted for Ralson brand is another concern?
    The speedometer denotes return of Iron-age. It shows the running speed but is devoid of counting numbers. It is another iron curtain raised by UM to keep customers in the dark. By not providing speedometer with kilometer counting gauge transparency is curtailed. It is deliberate. However multipurpose electronic speedometers are available with very nominal price and minimal hazards.
    Despite all odds I am happy with my e-scooty, because it is not causing that damage to our Mother Earth. I am also hopeful that UM shall fix its problems without any delay and jugglery of Indian style.
    Kindly awake to the issue, because your machine runs on roads with precious life on it. I am hopeful that you shall respond soon and shall:
    1. Replace the defective seat.
    2. Replace the defective switch and lock-system.
    3. Replace weak tyre with good quality tubeless tyre.
    4. Replace shockers with better one.
    5. Replace substandard plastic parts with better plastic molds.
    6. Replace speed indicator speedometer with calculating meter to know distance covered.
    7. Fix the mud guards on the scooty from the place where it is made so that there no need to fix the mud guards when we come to buy it as the agencies take a huge amount of money to fix that.

    Sir/Ma’am I shall eagerly wait for your reply and please listen to the demand and take some obvious action.

    Default E.p meeran motors, madurai is a fraud

    Ultra Motors India P. Ltd, the Electric Scooter manufacturers was closed down long back. I approached E.P Meeran Motors who are the authorised dealers for Ultra Electric Scooters to purchase one Ultra Velocity electric scooter. Immediately he processed the quotation and sale process. He hid the fact from me that the company no longer exists.
    Now the electric scooter is only 6 months old and it has developed all kinds of complications that would arise in a bike only after 10 years.
    When I bought the scooter he said that the vehicle carries one year warranty .
    But now i found out that the company no longer exists. Hence, the question of warranty does not arise at all.
    My dealer never picks up the phone. My bike has developed so many snags. I m running from pillar to post after paying a hefty Rs.35000.00 for the bike.
    I gave it for first and second service. He conveniently kept it for one week saying that the mechanic is on leave and that the service is not yet completed.
    I found out that for the those seven days, he was using my scooter for all his personal conveyance.
    SO NEVER NEVER BUY AN ELECTRIC BIKE OR SCOOTER.
    E.P MEERAN MOTORS IS THE BIGGEST FRAUD DEALER IN INDIA.
