This is in regards to my journey I took up on 21/12/2011... I booked my ticket on 21st November 2011 from Mumbai to Rajnandgaon in Samarsatta Express. That time it was showing the departure time from LTT as 8:35 PM. I left my office from Powai accordingly at 5 PM...took auto to reach there and was there at around 6:30 PM. Then I came to know that from past 1.5 years train is starting late by around 8 hrs and is leaving LTT at 4:30 AM in the morning. Fortunately or unfortunately on 21st, it left at 12:30 AM. I checked the status on internet before leaving and that time also 8:30 PM was mentioned as the departure time. I have to unnecessary wait for 4 hrs at LTT station.
My problem is since it was a scheduled delay, I should have been communicated either through phone number or through email or some other mechanism about this since. Or I should have been informed while booking tickets on this train.
I took off on 22nd and 23rd dec for this trip and had plans on both these days. And because of this miscommunication, I have to change my plans and i was not able to complete my work that I planned to do back at home.
Here is the compensation I want:
1. Wasting my time for 4 hrs and not informing about the scheduled delay.
2. Causing me discomfort and distress and making me sit on the LTT waiting room for 4 hrs. I reached home at 5:30 PM next day and I was supposed to reach by 1:30 PM, causing me extra lunch of around Rs. 200
3. Making me compromise on my vacation. Now I have to travel back again or look for other options to complete my work back at home.
4. Have spent around 200 Rs on eating and reading books at LTT which I would not have done if I would have been informed.
