the train was late for more than 3 hrs(around 6 hrs). So I decided not to travel by the train. I filled a tdr expecting full refund for that by the rules of railway.
Recently I found to have received only half I.E rs 289. I don't know whom to contact now.

Dear Sir,

I have booked an E-ticket from IRCTC website (PNR - 6309659206), for journey on 10.05.2012 for my uncle Mr. B Sengupta and cousin Mr. S. Sengupta. However, the passengers could not travel on that date. Since the chart had already been prepared I had to file a TDR in the IRCTC website for 50% refund on 11.05.2012. IRCTC processed my case to South Eastern Railways but the Railways refused the TDR refund on 18.07.2012 via email -

"refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : CSE180512V01092/12.07.12/SER and the reason being : 01233-SER/OL12 Ticket was not surrendered with in 3/6/12 Hours of Actual Dep of Train"

I reopened the case on 19.07.2012 through IRCTC customer care, citing the rules from IRCTC website that E-ticket does not need to be surrendered for filing TDR. But again the Railways replied via email on 02.09.2012: -"With Reference to your PNR No:6309659206, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : CSE180512V01092 and the reason being : 'Ticket was not surrendered with in 3/6/12 Hours of Actual Dep of Train"

I have spoken to the IRCTC customer care on 02.09.2012 and they said now I can only go to consumer court for getting the refund as the Railways is clearly violating the rules for refund.

It is high time that the Railways wake up from their sleep and handle cases a bit more sincerely.

Dear Sir,

I have requesting Railway to Refund Against PNR Number: 2605129011 Transaction ID:061574180 for which TDR was filed on Date: 28-12-2012. TDR Team has responded that Refund is under process but more than 20 days have already been over and Refund has not been given by Railway . TDR team is not responding my mail which is very serious.

Kindly look into the matter and give me the refund without any further delay.
