Dear Sir,
I had booked a tatkal e-ticket pnr no 8537999490, for travel on 31st jan 2010, Passenger had traveled from chennai through bus to reach mumbai. when she reached there, to her surprise train was delayed for more than 20+ Hours.
I called up the call center no 01123345900, I enquired about the procedure to cancel the tatkal e-ticket as the train was delayed. they told me to file a tdr after 24hrs of train departure.
To my surprise I got a message from them yesterday stating that,
REGRET Dear Customer, With Reference to your PNR No:8537999490, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : RF1/26810/10-11/C4/31.01.11/NR and the reason being : 425-NR/57 Tatkal TKT Party filed TDR after 3 hrs after the departure of the train. The case is repudiated. In case you require any further assistance, please mail us at tdrprocess@irctc.co.in or call us on 011-23345900 With regards, TDR TEAM
They instructed me to file tdr after 24hours of the departure of the train, so I did it what I was instructed, and they mention the complete different procedure. If railway people cannot guide us properly how do we come to know. So I feel I should get the refund, as the passenger has not traveled.
Thanks and Regards
