    Default TATKAL TICKET e-BOOKING

    I think it would have been notice by all user, that the IRCTC website do not allow any proceedings for booking an ticket between 8:00am to 8:20am and later also the server response is very pathetic. I can accept that railway may give excuse of traffic for server response but what for the site is inactive between 8:00am to 8:20am. And I suspect this move as something that is to grant benefits to the brokers by the higher authorities of the railways.And if so its against our right

    I strongly demand elimination of this inactive state of the website and also increase in server speed so that the MOTTO of the website that is "to reduce the requirement of brokers and agents and make passenger more self-dependent" can be achieved.

    Also I suggest consumer court that the server which is serving commercial transactions should have minimum speed regulations [with MAX LATENCY OF SAY 1-min in the STATISTICAL max traffic of month] so that there should not be the case that we are paying for something and getting something that may be entirely different. and the service provider easily escape by displaying a STUPID warning that the resulting buy may be different depending on the status of the time payment is made without any bar of how much it may change.

    Default Ticket Booking Fraud !

    I fully support the above argument about "TATKAL TICKET e-BOOKING" . I have experienced similar situation several times. The private ticket booking agencies have a good connection with the ticket booking authorities and are exploiting clueless, innocent common people.
    How else do you explain the exhaustion of tatkal quota for trains by 8:15am? (esp. when several consumers are not even able to log on to IRCTC website by that time).
    A bunch of us also tried to get a survey from ppl travelling in the train and we found that most of the tatkal tickets were bought from pvt. agents just 4-6 hours before the departure time. This is scandulous.
    Most of the tickets were booked with some other name (not the passenger's name) in the chart. This implies that those tickets were booked on dummy names. Isn't this a great threat to national security?
    I also witnessed that the Ticket checker was being called on his cell phone by private agents to allocate seats in the train to their consumers !! And this isn't a hypothesis.
    In the first place, I wish to understand the need for private agents to book tickets (esp. when Indian Railway has nominated official agents and most of the consumers are in a postion to book online tickets). Can the private agents be banned or put any stringent regulations be put down to contain this scandal?
    Kindly take the necessary actions. Let me know if any further action from my side is required.

    Post tatkal ticket is a funning

    this is very big proble that we cannt book railway ticket from website. bcz that time server will be busy. it is genuine problem not a funny. and railway is not taking any step for this. they know all the things. after that all the agent r doing sell the tickets in black. it means they r charging 2 or 4 multiple charges.

    so plz do any thing

    yes this is right that Ticket checker also talk with agent and take some commission d gave seat to their passengers who gave lot of money for the seat. and simple person who dont give more money he will find waiting ticket and it will not be clear either his journey start and end. and other person who gave some money he will find the seat easily. why it is going on no any senior authority is taking the action. all the senior authority aware all the things but didnt take any action bcz its a profit of railway servicman

    main to bas itna kehna chahta hoon ki irctc ko is tatkal ticket ke matter main bolna chahiye kyonki ab counter se sirf tatkal ticket hi bikte hai wo bhi 2 guna zyada rate par baki 80 % public e-ticket lena pasand karti hai

    Unhappy Tatkal Ticket Problem-

    This biggest problem in Assam also............

    I think this problem will remain in Future... So better move to IRCTC agents.

    Post Railways disruptive rule!

    This new rule by the Railways about banning online agents from Tatkal booking is completely baised and unwarranted.
    IRCTC doesn't give any good commission to Agents.
    IRCTC doesn't give good service to agents.
    IRCTC doesn't consider on miss or fail transaction to agents.
    Indian Govt. gets tax from agents.(TDS)
    IRCTC gets license fee from agents.
