    Question Complaint against IRCTC, not booking tickets



    Respected Consumer Court,
    30th,July 2012 @ 10: 00 am

    I am trying to book the tickets for the dates 29th, Nov 2012 and IRCTC is showing the Error : The Dates given were outside ARP. When the ticket window opens 4months prior, how can it still show "outside ARP" . Please do the needful ASAP regarding this.

    Default e-ticket is not issued by irctc

    Dear Sir,

    I have booked the e-ticket for my wife Jenifar for the journey from Rajkot to Pune in Vivek Express on the 31 August 2012. The amount Rs. 881 has been deducted from my bank account in favour of IRCTC, but the ticket is not issued either by sms or by e-mail.

    Angry Complaint against IRCTC Reservation - 6312364685

    Respected Sir,

    This is very frustrating to see that when I booked a side lower seat for my brother the system provided Middle Berth.
    However the availability was 206 when I booked the ticket.

    Last month when I booked a ticket for me and my wife, same thing happened.
    Instead of my interest on having a lower seat for my wife I was given a Middle and a Upper seat.

    This is very frustrating situation and I need your help to correct this system or the laziness of the responsible person.

    Please take some action on this.

    Default Complaint against IRCTC refun

    Dear Sir or Madam:
    I had filed my TDR as my train was diverted and not touching my boarding station. But the IRCTC have denied my refund stating the follwing'With Reference to your PNR No:2336166183, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DSE200712V09820 and the reason being : 'Ticket was not surrendered with in 3/6/12 Hours of Actual Dep of Train'

    This is not admissible... This is simply fraudulent activity.

    Default false information provide by ticket checking stafff that passenger travelled

    Dear all friends,
    after filling online refund through TDR process online, railway inform me that i travelled but i did not travelled on that day

    it is second time that i am cheated by this false information provide by ticket checking staff.. i was my home town kota due to heart attack of my father, they was hospitalize at kota

    please give me suggestion regarding this how can i loadge complain aganist ticket checking staff through online refund TDR process

    I needed side upper and side lower seat. i gave my preference and ! i got middle and side upper birth. This is not the first time the case happening. Continously 4 time this happned to me. traveling in middle is very irritating. I would emphasize that the availabilty was around 80 when i book my last ticket.

    Now, i didnt got ticket of my choice and if cancel the ticket then i will lose my money. Request you to bring some rule regarding preference booking viz. book tickek only if my selection is available. Also, if consumer court can arrange for my preferred booking then i will be thankful to consumercourt.

    Angry Two ticket per IP Address

    We are not able to book any Tatkal ticket, as our internet service provider donot provide a unique IP Address(He do natting), each time getting only two tickets could be booked from same IP address...
    I am screwed both by IRCTC Rules and Myservice Provider.What should i do ?

    Angry IRCTC Server dint work at all

    Hi,

    I have been trying to book tickets for 17th November. I am trying from 14th afternoon till 16th evening. But I never got connected to the booking page and as a result I couldnt book the tickets. This happens very frequently with this portal and I now hate to use this site. Considering this as a govt. based portal, it needs to be more faster and efficient so that the public can use this site more frequent than to go with any agent.

    Dear sir,

    I Vishal Giri from Wardha (MH), today i tried to book Tatkal ticket from Wardha to Gudur in Navjeevan Exp Train No. 12655 at sharp 10:00am, Tatkal quota is available 259 at Sleeper coach . First of I could not sign in at 10 am and after sign in 10.04 am its showing regret / WL1. I surprised that how is it possible within 4 minutes 259 tickets are sold ...?????? So I think its some where its hacked. Kindly look in matter in seriously and take n/a.

    And i suggest you that check overall booked tatakal (259 SL Quota) tickets where they have booked..?

    Angry IRCTC Detect Paymet but Ticket didn't got

    Hello Sir,

    Today i have booking to try ticket on 3 times but my payment has been detected but ticket is not prepared. i have loos 12000/-

    after that IRCTC has mailed me i will refund your amount 3 to 4 days. sir let me know how can i make ticket i don't have money yet. i am waiting for my ticket.

    sir please tell them they wants to refund amount after 2 to 3 hrs.

    Default Seats booking

    This is to inform you that for every booking through IRCTC portal seats were booked is at the first coup(Beside the Toilet/Door) and in case of AC2 always Side lower / Side Upper seats are booked. I have experienced this ,not several times but each and every time. Some settings must be there to allot the seats. Request you to please investigate.

    Default Discrepancies in irctc website

    On 4th and 5th of February 2013, I tried to do online booking for tickets for 4th June/5th June 2013 from Chennai to Pune. The IRCTC website was open from 07.45 am onwards on my computer , so that I could do the booking at 08.00 am (the time the booking opens). At 8.00 am as soon as the booking webpage was activated, It showed, only 1 seat was available for 3AC. This happened on both days. Since the counter opens at 08.00am and the online booking also starts at 08.00 am, how is it that at that point of time, only waitlist tickets are available? It is difficult to understand how at 8.00am when the counter opens for the first time, it shows only waitist tickets. Either something is wrong with your website or else some other discrepencies are going on. I could book only waitlisted tickets after this.

    On 6th Feb 2013, I tried again and the result was the same, the details being 6 seats for 3Ac and 62 seats for Sleeper class etc
    Chennai being the starting station, Are there only 6 3AC seats available from Chennai? For your information, I have taken a printscreen of the website @ 07.30 am where the available seats are shown as 0006 in 3AC and @ 07.37am it shows 0062 available in Sleeper class etc. 07.30 am is the time when the system of booking is not yet opened to anybody. Is this correct? So how come there are only a few seats available, even in sleeper class?? This is like saying the whole train has only 2 or 3 bogies !!!!!!!

    This is not the first time we are facing this problem. What is the point of having online booking facility for customers, if there is no chance for them even to do the booking? It is very upsetting for the cutomers to go through such hassles. .

    I have already written to IRCTC regarding this.

    And this was the reply I received

    Kindly note that IRCTC/Internet Ticketing Centre is the Web Interface for Indian Railways Ticketing System (Passenger Reservation System-PRS), a facility to
    book ticket through Internet. Request you to please bring this to the notice of the Railway Authorities as we are bound to follow the rules framed by the Railway Board. For any general suggestions / complaints can be addressed to crb_rail_suggestions@rb.railnet.gov.in
