I made FULL payment for order of 2 UBI Slate7+ PC tablets in Feb 2012 by means of a Demand Draft for Rs.2999/- each, to get a prioritized delivery. On contact thro email, I was informed that delivery will be made in 6 weeks time. But despite reminder after reminders, there seems to be no response. Even when I emailed for refund of the amount paid for cancellation of the order due to non delivery there is no response. I believed in the credentials of the Co. since there was a Govt. of India announcement about them.
I am sorry to say that the co. Datawind is not receptive at all. On 5 occasions I have furnished the full details of my payment to them. They even acknowledged the payment.
I am not interested to buy the product from such an unresponsive co. Kindly guide on taking the refund of the payment already made.

Please send a request for refund to refund@datawind.com. Datawind is in a financial and production mess and other than postponing deliveries of UbiSlate 7+ without explanation is all that it can do.

Same thing happened to me. I send my payment 4 months ago but yet to receive anything. Even they don't receive call and pissing to reply emails.


Don't put your complaint on public forums cause those are all for discussion and they can't do any action.


If you really want to lodge complaint at Ministry of Consumer Affairs, go here [www][dot]core[dot][nic][dot]in [Replace dot with (.)]and register yourself.
There after fill all required fields, put the name, address and other information of the cheating company Datawind Innovations Pvt. Ltd.


After the you'll get a COMPLAINT NUMBER, by which you can track the progress.


I have asked for full refund with interest till date including courier charges.

I booked Akash 7 on 12 march and they said that they will issue the tablets by April and after that June 2012. Now there is no reply from there side. If any one of you have their contact no so that we can ask for refund

I repeatedly tried to contact Datawind support no.- No response.
I repeatedly sent emails- many times delivery failed.
They replied my 13th May email and maid new promise-


2nd committment -- on 22/05/2012- You will get the delivery of your device within 15th May to 31st May.


After 31st May I again repeatedly sent emails- (many times delivery failed) & tried to contact Datawind support no.- No response.
Few times they picked up phone& prefer not to reply while I was able to hear background conversation.


In June once some one picked up my phone and responded very politely about new date, before asking my booking Id -


3rd committment -- you will receive tab before 30th June.



After that sent about 10-12 emails but no reply.
Again they are not even answering the phone.




I have requested many times about delivery or refund but they are not replying.

I think it's a time to report this scam to news media like AajTak. Send mail to AajTak and ask all your friends to do the same who are victim of the Aakash/ UBISlate scam. Please friends send mass complaint against them at reporter@aajtak.com

Guys there is no need to inform any News Agency they not gonna take our problem seriously bcz they all are also selfish and needy people... im gonna file an RTI this coming Monday and want you all to do the same ..so that we can force Govt to take legal action against them.. I dont want other people to get cheated by them.. If they are not able to deliver the booking order then why they are taking orders online..why dont they stop making advertise for booking order and why they are not having more contact numbers bcz they are consciously making fool us and who has permitted them is Govt Official who are not looking for our problems.. this is the time to take action and get the actual information by RTI. Please FILE RTI ...

BUT now not deliver above Ubislate 7+ to me
