Hi sir,

Though i stay in Royapettah, i gave my bike (Hero honda Glamour) for service in SUN MOTORS Karapakkam which is near to my office. The battery in my bike was not working and hence i asked the service guy to replace my battery.

The guy placed a brand new battery Amco AML2B and billed me 1560, when i asked about him he told 1500 is the battery price and 60 Rs is the fitting charges, Then and there i checked the details in the website from my mobile and found that MRP of that battery is only 960. When i asked him about this the service guy did not responded me properly and told harshly that it is the cost.

Immediately i called back the AMCO dealer (contact i took it from website), he too confirmed that 960 is the MRP, that too with free fitting charges. i felt that i was cheated by SUN MOTOR service center by putting over cost. so can i file a case now.

i have following things with me
1. Bill given by the SUN MOTORS service center.
2. New battery warranty card with date and seal.
3. Voice call recorded between AMCO dealer and myself ( where he confirmed the price as 960 including free fitting in bike)

Is it not illegal to price something about MRP to a consumer ???

Kindly let me know !
