I have been a HDFC card member for the past 4 years - not one default till date. Last month i had deposited a cheque at the ecospace drop box, outer ring road bangalore for Rs 92,000/-. This was not received by the bank till the 10th sept, now i have been asked to pay the finance charges. none of my repeated calls have beeen able to address this though i have transferred the amount via ATM on the 7th sept. Banks delay in cashing my cheque has resulted in charges totaling upto Rs 4000/-.
