I am a customer of HDFC Life and I have a policy HDFC Young Star Supreme Suvidha which was sold this policy by an agent in August 2010.
I was offered that I could pat the premium of Rs 24000 from my HDFC Titanium Credit Card and then I can pay it back in 12 Interest free installments of Rs 2000 each.
This went fine for the first year as I paid the installments on time.But, this year when the money was blocked on my credit card my Credit card statement mentioned that I needed to pay the
whole amount of Rs 24000 in one installment which is not what I had signed for.
I called the customer service department of HDFC Bank and HDFC Life but they were of not much help.
I visited the Bank's branch in Pitampura and HDFC Life's branch in Rohini, but they too offered promises but didn't help much.
I don't want to pay interest on the EMIs as I can't afford it and moreover I bought this policy because of the interest free EMIs that were offered to me.
HDFC being a respected private bank and insurance company has disappointed me on this front.
The Customer service of both departments are not in sync and were making a fool out of me by making me call the other.
I want your help regarding this as this is total harassment.
