We have had issues with our one day trip / tour in houseboat. As you can see the mails below, the service provider "Good Kerala Holidays" provided a package and did not adhere to the package details at all. They provided us the itinerary and nothing mentioned in it was covered, except for providing a houseboat. The houseboat was also not hygienic and upon complaint the provider stopped answering their calls till next day morning. We had already made half payment before we arrived in kerala and paid another part payment when we checked into the houseboat. The second day when we had to check out and leave, we asked the tour operator to give us discount on the package coz they didnt show us anything, they forced us to pay the balance as we had already made half payment for car rental and they told us that if we dont pay the balance, they will not provide us the cab.


I have never had such inhospitable and pathetic experience in my life. It was the most disgusting trip, I have ever had. And if this is how Indians are treated, then I am not sure how good are foreigners treated. We say we want to promote tourism in kerala and india, but with this rate, tourists will have bad experiences and will never like to come back to such a beautiful place like kerala. I would request you to take strict action and if possible cancel the license of this tour operator as they do fraud. They liaison with a houseboat owner called Hari and he has his staff who operates the houseboat. The owner (Hari) and his staff are incompetent, except for the chef who gave us good edible food.


Hari has no sense of interacting and communicating with the customers and was shouting on us. Its very insulting to pay for services, not get them and then get shouted by the service provider. How does anyone ever think of coming back to kerala then?
