    Default BagItToday/Affordable Sales Promotions cheat

    Hello,

I bought this 7N/8D Holiday package from BagItToday by paying Rs 7,000, in the month of May 2011.
I did receive the Voucher request Form and had couriered the completed form to them on 13/6/2011 along with DD of Rs. 750, with BookingID: 777782044.

I had requested for Kodaikanal Accommodation starting from 8th Aug to 12th Aug.

I never got any confirmation from them, though I could track the Courier being delivered on 17/6/2011.
I started calling them by 1st week of July to check the status. The standard reply would be that I would get a call back within 2 days. The same cycle went for couple of weeks, and finally by 3rd week of July, they said they don't have any accommodation in Kodai, but offered stay at Munnar in a Standard room (Where the hotel would offer Rs. 1,000 / Day inclusive of Breakfast).

I agreed for it & they said I would get the Booking confirmation/Voucher before 5 days of the Check In date.

I never got any call or Booking details to be produced at the Hotel. I went ahead & made last minute bookings on my own & am now back from the Trip.

I did send an Email to them regarding this, but as usual no response. Their Helpline 01206182100 is eternally engaged & can never get through.

I called another number 01204112424 and the smart Executive their took a couple of seconds to search my Booking No, and said there is a server problem & asked me to call after 2 hours.

How do I sue them & get back my money?

    Regards,
    Murali.

Placing a complaint online did some help, thanks to this forum.

After this complaint, I was flooded with calls from the Bag It Today suppoer & they finally convinced me take the offer again & avail another holiday package, after they apologized for their service and with a promise that they'll not repeat the mistake and they had sent a fresh voucher scan copy.

While I was still thinking if I've to re-apply, I got a call from a strange number (140********), who introduced himself as Avinav Jain from BagIt today. He gave me an option to refund the amount, if I am not introduced.

I gladly asked him to proceed with the refund, and he immediately asked me to hook onto internet, generate OTP for my Credit Card and via IVR, he asked me to enter the Credit Card details.

As soon as I entered the credit card details, the call got suspiciously disconnected. He called me again and asked me to re-enter the details. While I was about to re-enter, I got a SMS message from my Bank, confirming the transaction of Rs. 7,000 that I did. I was shocked & asked him if he credited or debited the amount. He acted to be confused and said he would connect me to the Accounts department and again the line got disconnected.

My Credit card has been charged with Rs. 7,000 for a transaction made with Living media India Ltd!

Now, in a bid to get a refund of my original Rs. 7,000, I am made to lose another 7K.

Can I do something to sue this fraudulent company?

Any help & support is appreciated!
