I have moved from Bellandur to Thubarahalli and requested for transfer of my airtel broadband connection (num - 08040968703) on 9th of July 2011.They said it will take 15 days for transfer as the system is under upgrade.I spoke to another Airtel agent in the thubarahalli who said that you will not get a connection if you have requested for transfer and suggested us to go in for a new connection instead.
I wanted the connection badly and hence called up airtel and asked them to cancel it .There was call from airtel and they said Thubarahalli area feasibility study has been done and it is very much feasible to transfer the connection and that they would do by 24th July.
I called them up on 23rd July to find status ..They said that it is not feasible and asked us to cancel the connection.
We cancelled it and later spoke to the earlier agent and applied for new connection on 23rd July.He collected documents and money and said the connection will come in 3-7 days .The agent's name is Chetan (his num- 9900011116) .We called Chetan up a few days later asking for status .
He said it will come on 28th but it dint happen .Again we called him he said 30th ..and this kept going on .
Now that the agent has been telling something else ,we called up airtel and they said they dint have our application form details !They still took out complaint and said someone from airtel will get in touch soon with status .That dint happen..so I called again and this time they found the details ! They said give us 12 hrs our engineer will update you.As expected ..again no call. So the next day I called again ..this time they said there has been update from the engineer that "Waitinf for workorder" .I said I dont follow this status ..please have someone call me and make me understnad when the hell will the connection come .No call again .I again called airtel customer care and they said that some bridge construction is taking place or something and thats why it is taking so long for connection (there is no bridge connection going on near my house).They again took a request that the engineer would call up .After 2 days ,airtel person calls up and says that they will inform of feasibilty in 3 days time .It has been 5 days since and there has been no call.
From the entire saga, it has been the worst experience with airtel we have had until now .I have heard of similar problems from others in the same apartment complex.I am still waitin for internet connection to be installed.
