I spent over 3 hrs on call with airtel customer care for dth. talking to everyone from the call center person to the manager ( Bikash)

He finally reffered me to K Rao (Zone Supervisor, Mumbai); he never turned up on the call.


The problem is :- the steup box i have shows a signal quality of 26/100 and the test setup box shows a signal qualtiy of 60/100 for a particular transponder.

The airtel exec say , the setup boxes are of differnt make so they will show different. That mean either of the setup boxes is not decoding the signal correctly or else the signal qualtiy is something all together different(since neither are correct, because 26 is not eqaul to 60) , and airtel is fooling the customers.

Both the setup boxes show similar signal strength for other transponder.

According to the manager, 26 % quality is good quality !!!!

So even is there is a drizzle, I lose my signal compeltely and that is bound to happen, they agree to it and say thats how it is suppose to be. -I DISAGREE

Now for their defective box they want me to pay 350 extra and get a new box ! This was addressed on day 1 when they fixed the setup box and all 2.5 years back. Even the remote problem was addressed then.

They said it will be fine later once all the airtel network and weather is good. From past 2.5 years its still the same and Sunil Mittal's company is asking customer to pay 350 more so that he can earn 74lacs and 350 rs yearly !!!!!!!!

Seems airtel is trying to fool customers.
