Hello All,
Compliant on: IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance (ITGI) Car Insurance
"once bitten twice shy"
I had approached IFFCO for an insurance claim on my Car which had 2 dents on if due to an accident when my driver was using it. The IFFCO surveyer Kumar Raja who has now shifted to ICICI Lombard informed me that he would allow only one damage at a time. he said that i could claim the second damage after a month.
But he took photographs of both the damages on the car and specifically mentioned that there are 2damages and that we are claiming for just one.
Now when I approach IFFCO after a month, to cliam the amount for the second damage as advised by Kumar Raja, the present surveyor(who calls himself asst. manager: Anun Kumar ) at IFFCO tells me that i cannot cliam as the damage was part of the last claim. He insists that the last surveyor had put in comments on the file online with photographs that the the second dent also existed when the first was paid for.
When i told Arun Kumar that his surveyor had advised me to cliam after a month, he says what is the proof. Now is this the way a representative should behave. First the IFFCO representative misleads me. Second he asks me what is the proof that IFFCO has mislead me. And to add to this he asks me if I have read the fine print of his policy.
Are we working with an Insurance company or a hooligan cheat organization which give its conditions in fine print and asks us to have proof of the promises or advises given by its representatives. Are we supposed to have a recording device to capture the conversation or maintain the email correspondence for every interaction.
Do you think customers have this time to put up with such irresponsible organization. Through this email i want to CAUTION other customers not to
take IFFO insurance policy or look out for surveyor's like Kumar Raja/ Arun Kumar from IFFO.
I strongly advice you to avoid IFFCO Car Insurance.
Best regards,
PR Rao
