Complaint against HDFC Loan Dept, Bangalore I am Aravind Moparthi, I have taken a personal Loan with HDFC bank, Acc No: 13955717 and Customer ID: 16405485
The loan amount was Rs. 150,000/ and loan date 12th Nov, 2008.After processing fee, I supposed to get 147750, but the bank had credited only 146,136 rupees. When I enquired about discrepancy, I came to know that they deducted towards insurance without my consent. I contacted CMH Road, Indiranagar Branch directly and discussed about the issue around mid-December, 2008. They accepted it’s their fault and requested me not to complain on responsible personnel as they might lose their job. As it was small amount, ignored it.
Due to some of financial problems I had not paid EMI’s from 07/07/2010 to 07/01/2011, after that cleared all my dues with an amount of Rs. 49800 (i.e bounce charges + interest charges + EMI) with the HDFC bank, Kanjur Marg Branch, Mumbai on 20 - Jan - 2011.
Due to some personal reasons I was not able to use HSBC Bank account which is ECS for my HDFC personal Loan. So I contacted HDFC bank for alternatives for not using HSBC Bank account for ECS on 20-Jan-2011 with Pramod (Kanjur Marg Branch, Mumbai) and 21-Jan-2011 with “HDFC customer care” and “Mr. Raghavan (HDFC Bank, Airport Branch, Bangalore)”. They asked to pay some amount as pre-EMI for the next 3 months, So that there won't be ECS issues to my HSBC account. On their suggestion, I paid Rs. 19295/- on 14-Feb-2011 towards my next 3 months EMI’s i.e., March, April and May, 2011. Despite of these pre-EMIs, HDFC bank issued ECS requests to HSBC account which had no money; I was charged penalty from both HSBC and HDFC bank and this would also have affected my credit score.
Still now I didn’t received original Repayment receipt from my pre EMI amount Rs.19295/- and I contacted regarding the same and visited to their place no of times and number of phone calls. After lot of sort stories I got duplicate receipt from the HDFC Bank.
After resolving my issues with HSBC Account, I continued using HSBC account and deposited some amount for personal emergency. But HDFC Bank issued ECS for the month of March, Apil, May and June 2011, despite calling number of times and visiting to the HDFC bank but no proper response from them and deducted money from HSBC account. Due to this, I failed to arrange money for my personal emergency which incurred heavy loss to me.
In May, 2011, I opened salary account in HDFC Bank, Banashankari branch. My Salary got credited to HDFC account end of May 2011 and for emergency, my friend transferred 7800rs to my HDFC Account to meet my personal expenses. HDFC bank again held 8000 Rs from my HDFC salary account for more than 10 days and eventually withdrew the money without my consent even after explaining the issue to the bank personnel. During this period was regularly paying my EMI through ESC from HSBC account. HDFC had not accounted my pre-EMI money 19295 Rs as advance for EMI for period March-2011 to July-2011.
I contacted HDFC Bank regarding this issue and to release the money they withdrew without consent. But HDFC bank continued considering me defaulter list and issue notices. I sustained financial loses and mental strain due to your banks inappropriate way handling my loan transactions.
