Default Why mnp customers are kept in the dark???????

    Sir:
When the MNP scheme was launched nationally, the consumer was expected to benifit from it, in as much the competition between various service providers become more healthy.
Unfortunately, my experience does not match with either of the above objectives. Those opting for MNP are being tossed about and being kept in total dark.... Service providers seem to be becoming more unethical by not specifying correct status...
Obviously the Donor does not relases the number with fear of customer attrition....
In my case here is some correspondence:
    1. MNP PROBLEM I am a Reliance CDMA prepaid customer (9319206748). I applied for a pin for porting out of Reliance to Airtel. The pin assigned is: RW325998 (received on 25.04.2011 and valid till 10.05.2011). On 28.04.2011 I applied to Airtel and handed over completed form with address proof and id (passport) and my PAN card copy with photograph and deposited the fee. On 29.04.2011 I received a sms at 23.50 hrs from 59110 stating my request for porting to Airtel has been received. On the same date at 23.53 hrs I received a sms from 1901 stating the application has been received and it is in process. I had no news till the 7th of May. I called reliance customer care and was given an evasive reply. I was asked to contact Airtel. On contacting Airtel I was asked to contact Reliance. I was made to run from pillar to post. Finally Airtel put in another request and I got confirmatory sms at 22.14 hrs from 59110 and 22.18 from 1901. On 9th May I again enquired from Reliance customer care. They told me my application was received on May 7th. However, Airtel again sent a request since Reliance was not taking any action. On 9th I got confirmation again from 59110 and 1901. This morning I checked with Reliance again and was told my port out request was never received. I spoke to one customer service executive and was then connected to someone who called himself Mr Munna Kumar Sharma, Senior Executive. Even he turned a deaf ear to my request and kept insisting on my using Reliance. What should I do? The port pin has now expired.

6.Requests for porting against above pin were made on May 20th and Reliance customer kept saying that they have not received the request. I have confirmatory sms.

    7. Wonder why applications of prepaid customers are being rejected? Regular follow up was done with both Reliance and Airtel but was never gievn a reason for MNP not being cleared. All papers have always been submitted.

    8. I have now requested (PRC NO. RW463896) to be shifted ti Idea yesterday.

    9. How toi file a RTI appliaction to find out who is at fault and then to sue for damages?

I did get a call from Reliance office (02230388366) at 17.04 HRS. The lady asked me if she could speak at that time. Since I was in a condolence meeting I requested her to call back after ten minutes, to which she said she would if she can. No call came and I called the number at 17.20 HRS but was not aware of the extension number to speak to the officer.
They may please call me on July 16th at any time except between 18.00 - 20.00 HRS
