My mother was diagnosed with last stage gall bladder cancer in FEB last year and doctors from TATA Memorial hospital told that there is no hope left as the disease is in very advanced stage. So they told me go for palliative treatment to relieve my mother from suffering.It includes a placement of artificial stent that will act as a biliary duct and will last for 45 days .
Now for the first time stent procedure I went to ChoithRam hospital, Indore (MP) and I was asked to fill 2 consent form, for first stent procedure for surgeon, and one for anesthesiologist who gives the correct amount of anesthesia to patient before surgery.
For the second surgery time I was in hometown so that my mother could be with our relatives and I went to North Central hospital, Pathankot Punjab, for the earlier talks the doctor ANIL singh seemed very nice person and also suggested to go with metallic version of stent that would last for atleast 4-5 months, the cost of the stent was around 18K and all surgery cost was 30K around. To my surprise the asked me to sign only 1 consent form that is for surgen Anil Singh only. I was in deep shock of my mother condition and hence couldn't question him at that moment , My mother was unconcious for almost 1 and half day and also she died within a week from the operation on 20th JUNE 2010.
Cai I sue for this negligence and unethical medical pratice that caused my mother's premature death.
Please suggest me legal action
