I had requested CIBIL to provide me my credit report. I have paid all the fee and also provided all the necessary details such as ID proof and Address proof. Now they say that my CIR from bank does not have the same address as I submitted. They also agree that I have submitted them an address proof which is acceptable to them. They now need another verification of the address from my bank. I do not want to do this as I am being harrased for no fault of mine.CIBIL also agrees that the address in my address proof and in CIR report differ minutely. I am being penalized for no fault of mine.If bank has left out some prtion of my address, why am i being harassed to resubmit my details. CIBIL should be comfortable with the address proof i provided as it was a valid proof. They neither warned me at the time of filing the application that i need to confirm my address in my CIR from the bank. This is unnecessarily delaying my CIBIL report. They are talking rudely to me and even threatening to temper my report and degrade my ratings. What should i do? Is Consumer court a valid option?
