Default I want to take Legal Action against TATA INDICOM regarding PORTING CODE ISSUES!!

I ,Preeti D'souza, have been trying to port from Tata Indicom to Vodafone for the last four months (since 1st of March 2011)

When I send a request for the UPC(Unique Porting Code) code, I m provided with a UPC number that begins with 'TZ' followed by a 6 digit number but when i give the UPC number to Vodafone, TATA INDICOM rejects the request saying that the UPC code is incorrect and sends me a message with the rejected code as TM followed by the same 6 digit number.

I visited the TATA INDICOM gallery on S.V road Goregaon west and spoke to the manager,Neeraj, about the same.He gave me the Nodal Desk number. After speaking toa NOdal Desk Officer I was told that the problem is solved and i should send a request for a new UPC code, I did but the same problem persisted SIX TIMES IN ROW.

According to me, when a UPC code is provided its valid for 15 days and within that time you cannot apply for a new UPC code and so 15 days gets wasted and then they ask you to send a new code after 15 days and that code is rejected and hence you have to wait another 15 days.

This is just a game that TATA INDICOM plays with its customers so that they get frustrated and give up the idea of porting to another more EFFICIENT service provider hence forcing the customer against his will to stay with the company.

Then I got in touch with a Nodal Desk Supervisor named Sana and explained my problem again by this point I was very irritated and frustrated with the process as I had been stuck trying to port for the last three months. As the gallery executives and manager out right refused to help me and said that they could not handle this problem and i should get in touch with the Nodal Desk.

Sana, the supervisor, again told me at the beginning of this month that the problems regarding the porting code were solved and asked me to fill out new application forms and provide all my details (address and identification proof) once again,I have even submitted a written application to the TATA INDICOM gallery requesting them to allow me to port to VODAFONE, I have a copy of this application that was accepted by the gallery.

After all these procedures and four frustrating months today i received information from Vodafone that my request was denied again and this time TATA INDICOM did not have the courtesy of messaging me why they have rejected my application.

I have all the porting code messages and rejected messages, emails as well as the written application letter to prove my inconvenience. Also I have a total of the amount of money I have spent on making calls to the Nodal Desk which according to me is the gallery executives job but they refused to help and told me so to my face.

I am really tired of making phone calls and spending money, time and energy when TATA INDICOM is clearly trying retain me as a customer against my will.

I have noticed on the CONSUMER COURT FORUM that there are many similar porting cases held against TATA INDICOM.

Since nothing has been done and false promises have been made, I want to sue TATA INDICOM for inconvenience and inability to deliver the services they promise.

Please let me know what steps I need to take in order to file legal action against TATA INDICOM.

    Regards
    Preeti D'souza

    Tata Indicom,

This is the hundreth time that Im giving you these details but nothing has happened!!
What guarantee do I have that this time you will be able to satisfy my need to Port to Vodafone and for you to do your job.
Im not going to reply to any customer service ,email id or phone number as i have already done that and I do not wish to waste another month of my life calling and emailing and explaining my issue to every one associated with TATA.

Hence this is the last time im giving my information and i will only interact with you through this site.
If after giving you my details this time the problem still persists or remains the same I will take legal action against TATA INDICOM for harrasing me wasting my time energy and money and for also giving me false information and misleading me to believe that my work is done.

These are my details for the nth time........

This is not only with you. The same is happening with me from the last one month. My mobile no is 9213522874 which i want to port from TATA to vodafone and TD 166951. this is the second time when i have got the invalid UPC code from Tata-indicom. Actually they neither want to improve their service nor want to lost the customer from its network. They know that as soon as they give the NOC to the customers they will just have very few numbers on their network, and those numbers will belongs to their staff and helpline numbers. No other will be using TATAindicom All will wants to do tata(bye) from TATAindicom network. Is it right?

If someone knows how i can register a complaint against Tataindicom Please let me know. I also want to file a complaint against tataindicom.

My alternative No is - 9136309030.

    Thanks,
    Amit
