Dear sir,

I have booked 2 tickets from UK for my mother and brother through the Kingfisher call center on dated 9th April and paid £98 for a journey for the 23rd April 2011. Kingfisher Airlines reservation number was CGQUGL.the ticket numbers are 0902170092992 and 0902170092993, Issuing agent- PNQ/HPX.

When I tried to web check-in for these two tickets, I was not able do so. Then I called the call center again, I was told that because of some reason the amount has been refunded to me. No one bothered to send me a mail or call me, eventhough my contact
details was available to them. I was assured that my Ticket is still confirmed, all I have to do is to pay again. I offered to pay right away, but I was told I will have to pay in the airport itself. I was told that they are very sorry for this incident and told I will have to pay Rs 7170 (Rs.3835 per ticket) in the airport.

When my mother and brother arrived at the airport on 23rd April morning, they were asked to purchase the ticket. Surprisingly they were asked to pay Rs 12,768 (Rs 6384 per ticket), an excess of Rs 5598 from the earlier fare which was promised to me. Since my mother is a heart patient and they were coming to Delhi Appollo hospital, to meet a specialist doctor on that day, they had no choice but to pay this ununjustified higher amount. The new ticket numbers are 0902470201345 and 0902470201346. The reservation number is EKBSHN.

I strongly criticise this overcharging episode which was casued due to the airlines own mistake and demand that the amount should be refunded to me. It has caused enormous anxiety and distress to me and my family. I never believe that the airline can justify this and expecting a proper action as soon as possible.

Narayan Sahu
