Dear sir,
I am Vipin Agrawal from Pune and I had purchased the RELIANCE GSM prepaid sim in December 2010 and since then my wife is using that number.
If I remember correctly, I got a message from company that the amount of 30 rupees has been deducted against renewal of CRBT service around 24th March 2011.
I immediately called up customer care number 198 (Mr. Atul and Nafis) and asked for the refund as I did not activate this service ever from my side. However I got an answer that their system is not updated pls call us after 6 hrs. Then I called up on *333 and I got the same answer that they can’t provide any help in this regard as their system is not updated. I thought it’s OK.. let’s wait for 6 hrs.
But the strange thing I get to know was like there were 3-4 other packs (shayari pack, helth pack, world cup score etc...) activated on this number and the company is deducting the amount every month without our knowlwdge. Yes, cricket score messages started coming up on this number around world cup 2011 but my wife never bothered about such messages and never checked the balance as she never applied for activating such service.
I tried calling customer care numbers (198 & *333) 8-10 times in that period and asked for stoping all the services/packs on this number and refund the money which has been debited against such services we have not asked for. But the customer care representativs clearly denied to refund the money saying these were activated from your side OR if not then you should have calledup before 2-3 months when these were activated on your number. Now tell me how will I know untill the company will not send any message or call up on my number that the additional packs are activated and will be charchable?
This has happend again on day before yesterday i.e. 14th April 2011. Comapny has debited 10 rupees against renewal of some caller tune without my knowledge. There was no message or call from the company that they are going to debit the amount from my account. She just checked the balance by chnace and found the reduced balance. Then I checked with customer care (Mr. Nisamumddin and his senior colleague) and asked for the refund. But again the same story... this has been activated by RWORLD and not by the company and this has been activated since 3-4 months so we can not refund the money. After asking several times for showing me any proof like message/call from my number for activation, they keep saying we can't refund the money.
In the premises, I shall like the company to refund the above amount together with the earlier one immediately when they activated the same.
I shall above like to ban sending me messages from immediate effect and note that if any charge is levied without my written consent. I shall not be liable for payment.
Please, solve my problem quickly.
Looks like this has become a headache for all reliance users every month, should think about porting my number for another vendor soon
