    Respected Sir,

    I have written to cgsi, vodafone customer care but nothing happened, i came across this wesite and hope my problem is solved or i am directed to an authority which can solve this problem.

    My Vodafone number 9820623100 was disconnected in November 2010 as i forgot to recharge it.

    When i went to the vodafone gallery in Thane [opposite Malhar talkies] to
    reactivate my phone, I was told that i will have to take post-paid if i want
    my number.

    So I paid the Rs. 350/- which they asked me and submitted all my identity
    documents. However my phone was not activated for 10 days, When i
    went to the vodafone gallery again, i was told to pay Rs. 5000/- if i
    wanted my number.

    They explained that since the number ends with "100" it is a "silver class"
    number and i must pay 500/- Rs to activte it. But i already have this number
    from so many years so i dont think i need to pay them more than Rs 350/-
    which i have alredy paid and have reciept for it.

    I am using this number for the past 7 years and it is on all my bio-data and
    banks and even the passport office. All my relatives in native place have
    this number.

    Please request the vodafone company to activte my
    number as soon as possible, to avoid loss of opportunities and so that all
    my relatives can contact me in case of emergencies or otherwise.

    I can provide a copy of the letter i sent to vodafone on 3rd December 2010 by email f required.

    Dear Sir,
    Thank you for your response. I have visited the gallery on Sunday 17th April at around 1.00 in the afternoon, (token number 94). However i was told that there is no email received. I have submitted documents for photo identity and address proof, and on verification of these i was asked to pay fees for reactivation, which i have done. So i request you to activate my number 9820623100 and not ask me to visit the gallery as i have completed all the formalities. If required i will visit the gallery, so please send me a copy of the email you have sent to them, as i can take it with me the next time. (devrajdp@yahoo.com).

It is now nearly six months since I have first written to vodafone. Please solve the problem as soon as possible.

    I have submitted my documents to the vodafone store in Thane west, opposite Malhaar Cinema.
    I am presently using 9869458604.
    For reference the receipt number is STA/10-11/SP01/19167 and is dated 10/11/2010.

    Sir,
    Though you have assured me, there has been no communication from your executives as of today.
    As i have submitted all the documents, i see no reason why i have to talk to you executives (if they call that is).
    It will be sufficient if you take actions to activate my number instead of discussing and prolonging. As you see it is taking months to sort out a simple problem.

    9820623100, is supposed to be my alternate number, as you see from my complain, this number is not activated by you for so many months (see first post of this thread).

    Certainly you must have realized the problems which me and also the people who are trying to contact me on this number (which you have disconnected) are facing.

    If you are not able to contact me on 9869458604, please direct your queries on this forum.
    I will prefer discussing and answering your queries in a open forum.

    Please solve this problem as soon as possible.
