Hi Gurinder,It has been going on with since a long time now that I am being deducted for services that have been subscribed to without my consent.I don't understand how do they do so? I guess they have purposely left some bugs/faults in their system.
Reliance customer care is really a pain to talk to.
Already tired of being deducted for unsubscribed services,this time I decided to call the customer care and deactivate all my services before getting recharge.I asked the customer care to check what all services are active on my number (how will I know if I never subscribed to any).He told me that I was subscribed to voice chat and movie masala.I neither knew about these beforehand nor did I use them ever.Anyhow I asked him to deactivate all of them.This call I made on 7-04-2011.I had made another call lasting more than 25 minutes which was disconnected after putting me on hold.
Then I also asked what SMS packs are active on my number.He said 5p/SMS pack is active.I didn't knew that such a pack even exists? then he says that another 1p/SMS pack is also active.How could I have 2 SMS packs active at the same time? Shocking!! I then asked him that if I send a SMS will it cost 1p or 5p? His response used to be,"Sir,main aapse yahin keh rha hoon ki aapke 2 SMS packs chal rahe hain ek 1p/SMS jisme pehle 500 SMS 1p k aur baki 1rs se charge honge aur dusra 5p/SMS jisme pehle 500 SMS 1p/SMS aur baki 1rs. This conversation happened for more than 15 minutes (more than 12 minutes I was on hold) and I was getting similar response from him time and again.It seemed foolish to reason with him so I asked him to let me talk to his senior.I was again put on hold.The senior told me that thee was only 1p/SMS pack.I complained to him regarding the earlier person that he was telling me about 2 SMS packs and giving me unnecessary botheration.And another complaint I made was that I was put on hold and they disconnect the call during hold.On 7 April they put me on hold and disconnected me,that call was more than 25 minutes long and I got nothing out of it!!!
Then I again called (8th of March) to confirm that no services were activated on my number.Then I was told that caller tune was active on my number.I told him to deactivate it and that it must not be renewed when I get my number recharged.
Today,9th April 2011,caller tune service got renewed and my balance was deducted.I called the customer care and said that I had deactivated all of my services and that when I get recharge no service must me renewed,I ensured this and they said ok.But then why has caller tune service been renewed? I confirmed it that had no service active on 8th and even from the senior on 7th.He said that your voice chat and movie masala had been deactivated but there was no request for caller tune.How could it be? Then said that even if deactivated balance wont be refunded.Why not??? What is my mistake??? And why am I taking so much botheration when I have got all of my services deactivated (even those on renewal) beforehand?? (which I never subscribed to initially!!) He also said that there has been a complaint from me that I was disconnected after putting on hold.I said him that there should be another complaint relating to the person who said that I had 2SMS packs active simultaneously.It seemed foolish to reason with him any further,I asked him to let me talk to his senior,he put me on hold and I was disconnect after 26 minutes call and no benefit,even caller tune is not activated.
I have earlier had a similar complaint which did not receive much consideration.I cannot post the links here.Search with my number at this site.
Fed-up of Reliance I wanted to get benefit of MNP and wanted to switch to Vodafone.On 11 March I applied for it.It was unsuccessful and on 28th March I again did that.I called up the customer care to get info regarding this and they were least helpful in that matter.The second time was also unsuccessful.They told me to do it again,but I questioned that if it was unsuccessful the first two times,what is the guarrantee that this time I could port out? I told them that it was stupid for me to do it again and wait for so many days again and that I wanted to know the reason.They say that there migh me some problem,their work is to just give the code.Vodafone says that talk to Reliance in that matter.I talked about this on 7th April along with when I was getting my services deactivated.
I hereby claim a reasonable compensation of Rs.1000 for unnecessary botheration from a long time ago and deductions for unsubscribed services which never ever used also.
