    Default Vodafone Blackberry Services Discrepant Billing, Service Disruption, Harassment

    I am a Vodafone UP West Circle Customer

    Services on my postpaid no. 9719100747 have been barred, attributed to exceeding credit limit on my unbilled BIS data usage.
    1. My avg usage per month (Voice + Vodafone Live data) varies between Rs 500- 700.
    2. On Mar 01 2011, i requested BIS 599 plan by Vodafone. It offers unlimited Blackberry Internet Service and browsing at Rs 599 p.m. It was promptly activated.
    3. On Mar 04 my services were abruptly barred. i was informed that my credit limit of Rs 3500 has exceeded and stood at Rs 8000. An interim payment was demanded.
    4. Customer Care informed me that the unbilled amount was for my BIS usage.
    5. I have the unlimited plan, and as such any unbilled amount should not have been relevant. Even so, BIS service only allows Email, IM and Browsing on mobile, and a normal usage of all of the above would probably not be more than 10-15MBs in a day. And BIS is provided over EDGE, which is limited in speed, therefore such heavy data usage (of about Rs 2500 per day) on a mobile phone is impossible and outrageous! It draws attention to the fact that there may be a serious problem with the metering/billing of VAS provided by Vodafone.
    6. 04 Mar, Vodafone representative apologised and reactivated my services.
    7. On 06 March services were barred again. i was told my usage exceeded Rs 10000 and i would need to deposit the same to continue services. After a lengthy discussion, a senior representative apologised, reactivated services promising no further harassment.
    8. Today 07 March, services have been barred again. My unbilled BIS usage stands at Rs 12603.98 (which is impossible by itself!) The most expensive Internet Plan on Earth could not even cost so much! At this rate, my personal internet usage over BIS would amount to over Rs 50,000 per month!
    9. Customer Care advises me that even though i have an unlimited plan, the waiving of any unbilled usage is made at time of Bill generation, and as such to continue services i should deposit outstanding amount which would be ‘adjusted’ upon generation of Bill. (which is around 17th of each month) This translates into my mobile remaining barred until the 17th unless I cough up Rs 12603.98! And I’ll be paying Rs 599 p.m. to avail this harassment over and above my talkplan!
    10. I hope i have been able to establish the harassment caused and the absurdity of the solution offered by Vodafone

    Consequence:
    1. My phone remains barred and as i am left stranded without a working number. I cannot access my Emails or IMs, leave alone time wasted over the last week - not less than 15 times calls to customer care and visits to local Vodafone store.
    2. Unprecedented harassment over the last one week - Services Barred, Demand of undue outageous unbilled amount of Rs 12603.98!
    3. Instead of getting unlimited BIS services for Rs 599 per month, my services are interrupted every second day and are presently deactive since today morning (07 Mar 11) (Am i paying for harassment?)
    4. Enormous Waste of Time & Efforts dealing with Customer care and explaining problem afresh. No deliverance of promises on their part.
    5. Service Barred third time in a matter of four days. Inconvenience is an understatement


    I would like
    1. Immediate Reinstatement of Services with no future Interruptions.
    2. A Harassment Fine - Substantial Enough to bring the matter to notice and prevent future recurrence.
    3. Waiving of BIS Unlimited Plan charges for current month owing to so many interruptions and poor quality of service.
    4. In case problem persists, I would like to port out of Vodafone to some other Service Provider for which my request has been declined earlier.

    Service Disruption four times in less than a week, with demands of interim payment of stupendous amounts, and then casually restoring service after a dozen complaints, hue and cry. is this a resolution?!

    Now i have received the bill with Rs 15270 as charges for BIS which have been waived off as adjstments. Even so, I am billed Rs 1640 as taxes! whereas my genuine usage is no more than a third of the taxes amount!

    I don't even use my phone as much in a month as i must have had to deal with your retarded representatives over the past few days!
    You guys are a nuisance!

    Correct my bill immediately and Port me out. Enough of your miserable standards!
