I got a call in december 2010 from standard chartered for advancement kit on my credit card no: 4196 0749 4014 6336 .
I was supposed to pay Rs.4000/year to avail the services. Customer care informed me that I will get my kit in 3-4 weeks of time.After which I can start availing the services.
On Jan 15 2011 I raised a ticket with standard chartered that I haven't received my kit yet(Ticket No: 277645).
I called numerous times to get my kit. I will always get a same response that you will receive the kit in 1 week time.
They started charging the money for the new kit. And also they charged me fine for not paying for the kit seperately. How can a person pay for a kit which he/she has not received?
I have attached my statement for the months of Jan 2011 and Feb 2011 with this mail.
Finally, after being frustrated of calling standard chartered, I requested for cancellation of kit on Feb 3rd 2011(ticket raised with standard chartered: 422476).
What I was told that you will only receive 75% of Rs. 4000, as you are cancelling the kit.
Because of their ignorance in service, I haven't received my kit for 2 months, and when I want to cancel it, then why I should pay for their ignorance.
When I have told them that I will complain in consumer forum, I got a call in evening from them. A guy told me that If I don't follow their process, then I won't get any penny from them. Probably, he was trying to threaten me that consumer forum will not work for me.
I am really frustrated with the way I have been treated by standard chartered representatives.
Please let me know what I have to do to file a case against standard chartered
