I puchased one overcoat, one cotton designer shirt and one warm lined shirt from M/S sOliver showroom at DLF Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi onn 8th Jan 2011 for a total cost of about Rs 10,000/=. Out of these one designer shirt had a big hole on one side, and the shirt was taken to the show room on 23 rd Jan for replacement as I feel it was a manufacturing defect. The Manager point blank refused to listen to me and started arguing. I requested the Manager Mr Akbar to talk to some senior Exec , to which he agreed after 30 minutes arguement and I left the shirt with the bill at the showroom against a proper reciept. Three days after the complaint, I was contacted by the company on my given phone number that My request canot be acceded to as they delivered the shirt in good condition and I possibly cut the hole in the cloth on the side of the shirt leaving the thread intact. That was their arguement . I have the reciept and the payment slip as I paid through my debit card.
Please advise how i should get the replacement as I feel it is a 100 % manufacturing defect. How can a 5 inch hole appear on the left side of the shirt without any reason. It is neither burnt nor rat eaten , and the shirt lasted just one washing only. kindly advise.The shirt costs 2800 with 50 % discount.
