    Default Poor and inconvenient service by HDFC bank

    Hello,

    I would like to share some bad experiences that I had with HDFC Bank.
    1st of all one of the factor that HDFC lacks is customer's convenience or ease. I have a salary account with HDFC Bank. Following are the issues that I faced

    1.) Home Branch assigned is too far from my residence - I stay in Bannerghatta Road but my home branch is in Bommanahally that is too far from my place. So its takes lot of time to reach that branch.
    Suggestion - Kindly assign the home branch according to the Account holder's residence or office.

    2.) Cannot change addess online or through call but Personal bank visit required for address change with proof - When I visited the Bomannahally branch for official address change, they asked for the address proof. I think if a account holder visits the branch for the address change they should accept the address without asking for proof.
    Suggestion - You should not deny the request for address change from the Account Owner(especially when he/she visits the branch personally).
    I have a Citibank account in which I can change any of my address easily either through phone call or online.(saves lot of time)


    3.) Did not follow simple logical formalities - I am working in Mphasis, Bangalore and there is a Standard format letter for the address proof from the company that mentions only the survey number as the address and not the exact building or floor where I work. So I requested the bank officials to accept the exact address from me as the proof of address because the company letter doesn't shows the exact address but they did not accept.
    Suggestion - Kindly use more simpler proceeding for address change requests.

    4.) Need to visit bank if you want to add credit card or transfer funds online.

    5.) Customer care isn't available after 8pm - In case of emergency, sometimes it is needed to contact customer care at odd timings, but in HDFC its unavailable.

    6.) Cannot change address if your account is not older than 6 months(Told by HDFC Officials). - Customer is totally helpless.

    I have lost my Debit card last week and requested for a new card on 4th Jan 2010. Yet, I did not receive any card(as of 13th Jan 2010).

    Overall I had moment of misery having banking with HDFC.
    HDFC services are MISERABLE, PATHETIC, DISAPPOINTING and POOR. For each and everything you are required to visit bank personally.
    HDFC bank is even worst that any other government bank.
    I am closing my HDFC account soon because I am frustrated with its service.

    Default complaint for deficiency of service and rude bank

    I too had a very pathetic and sadistic experience of HDFC bank BHAVNAGAR GUJARAT branch when I had gone for change of address. The staff had poor and pathetic knowledge of Banking procedures and legal formalities. Even they donot know that Bank's premises is a public place. Instead they were considering the same as a private one. Oh HDFC BANK TOP Management train them in BANKING, SPECIAL and GENERAL Behaviour! The change of address is not mandated personal visit of customer. Even though the bank officials shamelessly demands the personal appearance of the customers as if they are judges of a court. They fools are demanding even PAN card copies for address change! See the fun! If TOP management is hearing; save your bank from such fools and make change in conduct rules with customers OR your bank too will not have a future. My email id is jitenbjoshi@gmail.com

    Thumbs down Poor Service

    Hello friends,

    I also have bad experience of HDFC service, Though I provided my personal address for banking documents receiving, while I apply for personal loan the bank executives are asking for current address proof, though he also know that how difficult to live in other cities for job. There is no each and every home owner provide rent agreement so that Due to this reason my personal loan is not yet completed. My details are as :
