    Default TATA AIG Pension Plan

    Sir,

    In the month of April 2010 I had taken a Pension Plan of TATA AIG through Mr. Arun Chauhan who is working at SMC Insurance (Noida).

    But till date I didnt recieve any policy paper against it inspite of making many calls to SMC Insurance.

    My application no. is C101243287.

    Now its January 2011 and I am no more interested to continue with it & seek a total refund of my money of Rs. 15000/-.

    I kindly request you to look into the matter & help me in getting the invested money back.

    We refer to your email received by us on January 10, 2011 with regards to your captioned policy with us.

    Please note that, we were trying to contact you on 9953555429. However, we were unable to reach you. We request you to provide us with your alternate contact details for future reference.

    With regards to the issues raised by you we wish to inform you that the captioned Tata AIG Maha Life Gold policy was issued on April 16, 2010.

    We would like to inform you that we have dispatch the Original policy document on April 23, 2010 through ERS courier vide consignment no. 6213881. Due to incorrect address the policy document is undelivered to Tata AIG.

    Further we would inform you that we are able to cancel the policy under the free look provisions. We assure you that the provisions are in accordance with the IRDA regulations (Protection of Policyholders' Interests). The relevant portion is reproduced here for your ready reference....
    "A policyholder has a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy document to review the terms and conditions of the policy and where the insured disagrees to any of those terms or conditions, he has the option to return the policy stating the reasons for his objection, when he shall be entitled to a refund of the premium paid, subject only to a deduction of a proportionate risk premium for the period on cover and the expenses incurred by the insurer on medical examination of the proposer and stamp duty charges"
    However, request you to provide a duly signed letter at the below mentioned address or a scanned copy of the documents.
