Considerations
1.Customer care calls. At present vodafone,aircel,airtel,idea is charging for customer care. This is very unfair to charge customer for asking MONEY for their own promotions and plans, settings. Customer used to call customer care they are charging 50 Paise/ 3 Minutes. Also they will may put 2+ minutes on hold paying from our pocket. But Reliance,Tata indicom,Tata docomo,video con is not charging for the customer care calls. and the quality of the resolution/reply is also very GOOD and responsive as compared to vodafone,aircel,airtel,idea. So be wise.
2.Post paid/Pre paid users: As comapred to normal prepaid users the heavy revenue generator for all the operators mainly depends up on post-paid users. If MNP is going to introduce the tarrif may drop down so customer can easily be migrated to pre-paid to avoid heavy monthly bills. Normally most of the post paid users paying Rs.1 or above for making STD calls. As the base tarrif of the pre-paid users drastically came down to 40 Paise/Min (Below 1 paise if per second). Also as switching over to other network means the users cannot able to identify the operators with the mobile number. So the home network tarrif which will not be applicable to those who identify with the mobile number.
Network Coverage: In kerala the strongest but liitle congested network is IDEA followed by vodafone followed by bsnl followed by airtel followed by tata docomo. IDEA,VODAFONE,BSNL is more stronger because they use 800 Mhz. Airtel,docomo,videocon USED 1800 mHZ so the signal strength is little weaker.
Tarrif:: This is the most valuable considerations. This part no operators is near to TATA DOCOMO.They best. Because they gives the best value for money. 0.66 Paise/Sec for STD/Local Calls 50% cheaper than any on in this segment. Also ISD is very cheaper 12 Paise/Second without any additional recharge. Other operators charge Rs.30-50/month to reduce the tarrif. Tata docomo gives the best tarrif for GPRS 48/Month
Internet/Connectivity: 3G: As announced BSNL having stronger network for 3G connectivity. So heavy internet who travels a lot can switch to BSNL. Second best is TATA DOCOMO. They are having good 3G network in the state. Let's see reliance also coming up with 3G
GPRS: Best is videocon this may be because their internet traffic is low compared to others. Airtel,vodafone,idea,bsnl speed is very low. But again th internet tarrif and speed is best with TATA DOCOMO
Conclusion: If TATA DOCOMO EXPANDS ITS COVERAGE. DOCOMO MAY BECOME THE BEST OPERATOR IN KERALA. (This is my opinion)

This is going to be a big hit for major telecom players who thinks Customers are fool enough to Stick on to single Mobile Service Providers. Soon Airtel, Vodafone, Idea the leading GSM Operators in India will come to the bottom end service provider in India.In Kerala If Airtel, Vodafone, Idea customers calls customer care chargeable. Truly unfair.This is been implemented all over India by making fool of customers by the help of TRAI. Since every one knows the MNP (Mobile Number Portability) is not yet started implementing as the discussions goes no where about last 2 years. But the telecom players and the TRAI began acting against the basic customer rights?? Just think Do you pay any show room guys or representative to try demonstrating about the any of the Products??? This is as simple as saying for registering our own service complaint is chargeable for you..... The Airtel, Vodafone, Idea says Toll free. That is not true. They are fooling up the customers and making money in unethical way. Till now Tata Docomo and reliance not charging for the customer care calls. They straightly says like We are not ready to punish the customers.. Hurry up guys we need to De promote the mobile operators Airtel, Vodafone, Idea who thinks the customers are fool.
Methods to do achieve our customer goals are
1) Dont allow them to promote their offers by sms or any means by sending an SMS START DND to 1909
2)Please don't activate any of their Services like Missed Call Alert (This is free in Docomo & some Networks)
3)Please deactivate the Caller tune service they offer
4)Please not that after sending START DND any calls or promo comes from the provider we can claim RS.120 for every SMS or Promo Calls
5)Use the other Network Operators SIM for going Domestic&International Roaming by forwarding your calls to the other Mobile operator. (please check the rates of roaming charges (I believe the Docomo and Relaince is much cheaper compared to Airtel, Vodafone, Idea)
6) De motivate all the options where they can make money by fooling customers

I'm not against vodafone or any operator. I just put some my own suggestions/opinions on mnp. But I'm a vodafone post paid user for last 9 years. Please dont ask my mobile number. Since i'm totally against customer care which you people is charging for the calls.

WHY bsnl ?? dEAR mOTOCOCHIN...
i THINK u HAVNOT USED BSNL services recently.. U cant say like this... U havnt yet gone through the positive side of BSNL because u dont know that. I agree that Customer care is aome what bad ... but is under reconstruction.. A project named Project smile is being implemented to improve the performance of customer service centres.. and new effective callcentres are being set up. We are simply going for attractive offers.. docomo s tariff may be attractive for ur eyes, not for ur pocket... u said u will get 2gb gprs for just 48rs.. but u didnt say 2gB for night only and just 100 mB is available for day time... But BSNL gives 2GB anytime for just 89rs.. then about speed ... just try now... U can feel that .. the network has been upgraded.. RF optimisation is going on. which will give u better experience.. just go throuh the Terms and conditions of Docomo 3G data .. u can understand.. BSNL does not cheat U.. Pls dont misguide others... without knowing anything about bsnl... U r simply promoting the corporates.. They know how to loot customers in an efficient way .. but bsnl cant do such gimmics being a govt company.. U are paying for Foriegn companies... they will spent that money for their nation... not for india... argue for vodafone , docomo etc ...promote them... just know one more thing .. BSNL is giving nearrly 3 Lakh direct employment oportunities... all for the indians.. they are spending their salary here itself... How much amount is spending by vodafone docomo etc.. for us ... pls think and reply

Video Callas are very cheap at 70p per second in BSNL 3G 1. BSNL has 3G facility and no other operator is providing that facility now.
2. All BSNL 3G mobile customers can use the video call facility provided there mobile phone supports the feature. No other provider is providing thsi facility.
3. All BSNL 2G customers can access the incoming video call from a 3G BSNL mobile customer provided the mobile phone supports the feature.
4. All 2G BSNL customers can migrate to 3G by sending an sms to 53733 as follows....
for prepaid customers send sms 'm3g 120'
for postpaid customers send sms 'm3g 25'
5. The video calling rate is 70 paise per minute which very very cheap. Remember the normal voice calls are now costing from 40 to 60 paise per minute.

I Have checked bsnl recently also the customer care is worst in the world. The internet speed is also very slow. Also do understand am not promoting any operator and since i'm only a mobile user and of course my findings and opinions i just share with all thats all. By the way check the call rates of tata indicom. BSNL needs to re define the plans and customer care. Otherwise they may not loose huge customers in haryana after MNP as people are not fool enough to stick on to BSNL as they need some re constructions. As I believe they simply bribing and helping the private operators. loosing their name as operator. Just see how many customer they going to loose in kerala numbers will be huge in my opinion. Because we malayalees are wise enough to choose the operator.

I hd used a BSNL post paid connection nearly last four years.I am also work with in Reliance in last six years,but due to coverage issue in the starting period of Reliance I used the BSNL network in my home town.Due to some personal reasons and I came to BSNL office and to cancel my number.The customer care officers(including one lady)is not willing to attend me properly and take no effort to retain me as their customer-atleast in Pre Paid.
I think ur social responsibility of the BSNL staff !!!
I will terminate my post paid number they don't bother about it...because the Goverment will pay their salary in every month correctly.So why they bothered about the termination??? I think they(BSNL CC Staff)will retain me in atleast Pre Paid.But nothing will happened!! and I lost my nostalgic number.
I am an employee of Reliance Communications...I am living with the salary from Reliance...

Sorry that i forgot to mention about aircel. Sure they have lot of offers for mnp. I was not aware that they are giving this much offers to customers. Presently they have good coverage in our state. Also have some good offers. Like for MNP they have 72 first recharge. It gives your 25 rs for 3 months each and also half paise per second to local mobile calls. Also their 3g service is starting. I just got ported out one of my connection vodafone to bsnl. As you said BSNL has improved a lot even I also feel that is true. This was my experience with bsnl
1. Putting on hold for more than 20 minutes to speak to customer care at last he could not able to handle my internet querry about 3g. Wonderful customer care
2. Worst coverage even i'm not far from bsnl tower. (Less than 1 kilometer from tower). Also handset got hangs frequently
3. The voice clarity is worst
4. The gprs speed is worsr. and also connects only after 6-10 tries and frequent disconnection or hangs.
5. Worst fact is that i could not able to reach the nodal officer number in ernakulam SSA. It says this number is not available.

What a good service. Let see i just send a grievence about my problems with bsnl if the reply within this year comes or not?
6. Tarrif also not so fair compared to other private operator they have only 2 options. 49paise/min or 1.2paise/Sec. Which all other operators giving 0.5 paise/second for 3 months.
7.Dear anoop you must rethink using bsnl or just come outside and enquire what others are giving to customers.
8. So never ever take bsnl connection. Infact i'm also sad about the fact that the govt owned telecom sector should give good service/tarrif to customers really they are giving help to private operators. As we people are fool enogh to see all these dramas

I was a RIM customer. I have switched to TATA DOCOMO, which have a nice local plan
just recharge for 149 and you will get 900 minute local off net and 900 minute on net calls for one month. This is very attractive because it is Second pulse.
