I have been facing this issue since I have brought the Vodafone data card for the 3G service. Regarding the same, I had written a mail earlier to the Vodafone care, but have not yet received any replies. Please find the details below :-
The issue that I am facing is with the speed that I am getting with the Vodafone data card. The executives who called to sell this product, told me that you will be getting a speed of 210 KB/s in the beginning (till the 3G is launched) but the speed has been exceptionally low. The download speed that I am getting is a mere 3-4 KB/s.
Please make a notice of the fact that this issue has been raised 'N' number of times and still hasn't been resolved. I suppose the Vodafone has stopped serving their customers.
My experience with Vodafone till now has been a horrible one. I am the most un-satisfied customer right now. Every day, since my data card got activated, my duty has been to call the Customer support at 55666 and narrate them the issue that I am facing. I am sick and tired of getting the same response that 'a mail is being marked to the concerned department and the issue will be handled within 24 hrs'. But I suppose the Vodafone's watch is running way slow and their 24 Hrs are still not complete. I was even told that a call back has been arranged from the department and till now I have yet received a singe callback, in-spite of reminding the executives regularly. Seriously if somebody wants the feedback of the services being provided by the Vodafone, then I am going to rate it in -ve values. I won't ever suggest anybody to go for this offer.
Note that the sales executive told me that the 3G will be launched by the last week of Dec-2010 or max by the first week of Jan-2011. And thats why I went for this product. Now I am being told, that too only when I asked one of the customer care executive, the 3G will be launched by Mar.
This kind of laggard, irresponsible behavior from the Vodafone people has forced me to at least lodge a complaint in the Consumer Forum.
All I want to be done is, I know that probably Vodafone has stopped serving its customers, so I don't think that this is issue is ever going to be resolved, please take back this dongle and the SIM card of yours and just give me back by 1600/- bucks. Also I am strongly stating that I won't pay a single penny of the bill that I am going to receive. It takes me a whole day just to download a ebook of 60 - 80 MB.'
Kindly look into this issue and try to resolve is as soon as possible.

Hi, three months before i had to call several times to airtel for a issue with slow speed in 3g ..in a package of 2gb cost of 750 bugs..but that issue didn't get fixed and they were keep on taking complaints which are of no use at all...because the issue never resolved...first day i got a speed of 2mbps..later in it was 30,40 kbps...can u imagine getting 30 kbps for rs750...now fours days ago i again paid 750 for 4gb...everything remains same...y do they cont take right action to fix this 750 is not a small amount.customer care ppl are heartless when we start to explainin the issue they just dissconnects...i have several complaint number but wats the use...i m with airtel for 6 years now i m fed up...i m not askin justice but this complaint is to bring airtel customer service to limelight..so that if anybody has a wish of going with airtel might change..atleast they can save their hatd earnd money....plz i don't know wat to do...make sure this don't happens to others...i ll also request my frnds to get out of airtel ...thanks airtel for eatin my 1500 bugs for nothing...airtel sucks big time my mobile number 9791125124 name: sabari
