    Dear Mr. Mansuri,

    Season's Greetings from HDFC Bank.
This is with reference to your recent communication received by the Bank and subsequent conversation with our bank representative Ms. Alka Vijan regarding your credit card account.
We observe that an amicable settlement for Rs.22800.00 to be effected in eight installments was offered towards the outstanding prevalent on the card account during January'10 statement. As you are aware, settlement offers are time bound and are decided based on the prevalent outstanding on the card account. Hence, it becomes essential to avail/comply to the terms of the settlement offer by effecting a payment towards the agreed amount within the stipulated period, in the absence of which the same would be considered void.

We observe from our records that we were not in receipt of complete payment towards the settlement offered within stipulated time frames. Owing to non-receipt of payment in accordance with the terms of settlement, the same was deemed void. We are appending herewith the details of payment received for your easy reference.

    Month Payment ( in Rs.)
    January'10 3100.00
    February'10 0.00
    March'10 0.00
    April'10 1800.00
    May'10 2000.00
    June'10 1700.00
    July'10 2000.00
    August'10 3000.00
    Total 42200.00

We confirm that the payments of Rs.1100.00 and Rs.6550.00 received on 29.09.2010 and 20.10.2010 were adjusted towards the outstanding on your credit card account. Owing to the above status of your card account, our bank representatives had contacted you to communicate the pending dues and facilitate payment towards the same.

Specific to your query regarding the settlement of the card dues, we would like to clarify that the bank offers settlement at its discretion, based on the prevailing outstanding payable by cardmember(s) and with the mutual consent of the customer with that of the Bank. We understand from your discussion with Ms. Vijan that a settlement for Rs.12000.00 payable in three installments was proposed, however, we regret to note that you are not in acceptance with the same.

We confirm that there is an outstanding of Rs.46,622.75 as on date on your card account. We request you to provide us with a copy of the medical bills paid towards your brother's treatment for us to suitably review your request for settlement.

Please feel free to write to us at : customerservices.cards@hdfcbank.com or contact us at 022-30751711 / 30751712 for any further clarification or assistance that you may require and we shall be glad to assist you.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

    Warm Regards,
    Manoj Visai
