I WAS USING AIRTEL POSTPAID MOBILE NO. 9878056502 SINCE ALMOST FOUR YEARS.
ON 29.11.2010 I LOST MY SIM, FOR WHICH I CONTACTED AIRTEL TO BLOCK THE SIM, WCHICH THEY DID. I WAS ASKED TO GET A DUPLICATE SIM FROM NEAREST CENTRE ON PAYMENT OF RUPEES 25.00
For which, when I went to their Kapurthala Service Centre, they asked me to shelve out rupees. 50.00. I told them that customer care has told me rupees 25 as cost, they told if I want a duplicate SIM it is rupees 50.00 otherwise new SIM will come after a month. When I contacted Customer care executive standing from thereitself, they told me it should not be charged more. They told me to get a receipt to which centre people refused. They even did not talk to customer care executive, when he asked me to hand over the phone to them. They neither told their contact number. Furious customer care executive noted my complaint no. 34791936 and told me that the sim will be delivered at my home free of charge since I was being harrassed by centre people.
But the story has taken still ugly turn. Now the SIM is not being delivered and no body is listening to repeated reminders. Occassionally some new customer care executive will come on line (or last time they called me on 19.12.2010) and will start afresh.
Till now there is no resolution.
I don't know the status of my complaint against centre.
I don't know about my proposal of giving me the duplicate SIM converting it into prepaid.
