Hi,

My parents who are 61 and 56 years old , uses Airtel prepaid connections in their cell phones. But from last one year, calls and sms comes from Airtel customer service and automatically registers them to Airtel Romance, Chat, Friendzz , hello tune and deduct money from their cell phones, for these services.

On top of that,they automatically register the cell numbers to offers , that are free for first one month and If we dont want those services after one month, we have to send SMS stating that we dont want it anymore.
Please tell me if a person doesnt know how to send an 'SERVICE NO LONGER REQUIRED' sms, he has to keep paying for these services for which he got registered unknowingly. My parents are facing those situations, now.

Every time, when I come home, I call up the customer service and scold them to stop sending/calling unwanted sms and offer calls to their cell numbers. then customer care employees take the request and say it will be done in 45 working days.

when I come for my next vacation , again, their cell numbers might have been registered to some other stuff. My parents who doesn't know how to operate a cell phone , other than accepting and disconnecting a call, how can they register themselves to all these atrocious services.????????!!!!

FYI.. I have called up customer service 4 times in 2 days on my current vacation also(Dec 2010), on the same issues. One lady named Sharlin @ Chennai Customer care has responded to me saying that my request will be done in 45 days ,again. God only knows if it will happen or not....!!!
I feel these customer service people are so shameless, that even if we scold them, it doesnt have any effect on them. They just keep on saying " Madam, We understand your concerns. your request have been registered here. It will be processed in 45 days". What rubbish!!!!

I have no idea how much money these fraud people have taken from my parents cell numbers, so far, by their fraudulent services and offers.
if I ask for refund of money they have deducted over these periods, they cant do it.

I want to sue the airtel company for these activities and get my parents money, back.
some one please let me know the ways I can sue this atrocious company.
