Sir,
I had purchased a whirlpool washing machine branded as Sensation, on December 09, 2005 .The model is 9180 and the Serial No. is INB053804629 .Colour of the machine is Moon dust Silver .
My customer ID number is 6241233 .The product had been manufactured in September 23, 2005.
Through “Mother`s Home Care”, your Authorised Service Partner, I had entered into additional AMC from December 10, 2007 to December 09, 2010 .Receipt Number is 5292. I am on a total warranty for 5 years and had paid Rs 1888/-
Right from the time of purchase your product has been a source of irritation and exasperation because of its frequent malfunctioning.
It keeps showing an error message called F1 .There was a problem with its mother board and we had to change it.
There was a problem with the door and we had to repeatedly contact your customer care and service personnel, before they condescended to come down and repair it.
My wife is a Working Teacher and she had been put through untold mental and physical suffering . Every time your machine conks off due to some problem, she had to resort to physically washing the clothes.
She is a person who had undergone Hysterectomy recently and she had been advised not to engage in any hard labour .
But with such a machine as your Sensation Iam quite concerned that she will have a nervous breakdown on account of the mental stress she is being subjected to.
If you do not arrange to replace the machine and suitably compensate us for the trouble caused by your washing machine, we will have no recourse but to approach the Consumer Court as well as publish the malfunctioning nature of your products and services through appropriate blogs in the net, as a matter of public knowledge.
I look forward for an amicable settlement at the earliest.
Yours Truly,
S.Suresh

Dear Sir,
Further to this communication, we had visited your Customer Care Centre in Ramapuram and met one Mr. Bragadeesh. This was on December 07, 2010.He had registered a complaint and had promised to send a service personnel for inspection. But no one had turned up. We had once again registered a complaint with Customer Care and they gave us a Complaint Number of 1210015445.
A service personnel turned up. He had examined the machine and after a few days changed the motor, stating that the problem has been rectified.
Today, December 21, 2010 the machine is showing the same F1 Error. On calling customer care, the person politely says that she cannot register a complaint because her network is down!
The malfunction has put us into untold difficulties. My wife had to apply leave to wash all clothes in hand.
You claim this is the 100 TH Year of Whirlpool Existence. Is this how you treat your customers? With a malfunctioning product?
How many more agonizing moments are you people going to present us with?
Suresh
