Regret!!! Closing of my hdfc account by bank without intimation to me ????

    PLEASE GUIDE ME AS TO HOW TO PROCEED FURTHER IN THIS REGARD ----

    Dear Sir(s)/Madam(s),

    With Deep Regret i am sending this mail to you and let me tell you one thing that such an action was never expected from a reputed bank like HDFC.

    I have an account with your Ravipuram Branch , Ernakulam having Account Number 00201200031750. This was a salary account of my previous company where i used to work earlier. Due to the services i used to get earlier , i decided to continue this account even after i left that company.
    This account has been used by me for many of my payments earlier which can be seen from your records. After i left the earlier organisation , i agree that there was not much transaction and there were one or two instances when my cheque got bounced for want of sufficient balance . The bank had charged me for such cheque returns and i had paid them all.

    Currently i was maintaining sufficient balance and i had decided to revive this account once again. There are post dated cheques issued from this account for my Housing loan and i was planning to route my Car Loan also through you.

    But to my dismay , when i went to the branch today to deposit cash , i was told that this account has been closed . I AM REALLY SURPRISED AS TO HOW CAN A BANK OF SUCH GOOD REPUTATION DO SUCH AN ACT WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH AND MORE FUND AVAILABLE IN THE SAID ACCOUNT.

    FURTHER THE BANK WAS LEAST BOTHERED TO INTIMATE ME OF THE ACTION TAKEN.

    Please be aware that i have already issued post dated cheques for my Loans and such an abrupt action from the banks side with out any intimation to me was never expected. Now because of this closing of account what will be the fate of my subsequent cheques expected in near future.

    Is the bank least bothered about the customer's credibility as far as the loan repayment is concerned.

    Further the whereabouts of the fund available in the account is also not known to me till date . YOUR BRANCH SIMPLY SAYS THAT MY ACCOUNT IS CLOSED !!!

    I never expected such an action from a reputed bank of your standards.

    Please ascertain the details and let me have a reply and i am ready to forget the whole episode once for all if my account is revived and the account is once again converted as operational as i have post dated cheques coming up in this account and please imagine yourself in this position before replying.
