Dear Sir,

My ICICI bank account has been freeze without any prior notice to me. The reason they told me that my account was salary account and it should be converted to savings accounts in case of regular salary deposits stop for three months continuously .But I want to know whether ICICI can freeze my account without any prior notice to me.

My EMI cheque got bounced within this period and I had to pay the penalties regarding the bouncing of cheque. Moreover I am bound to pay the late payment penalties for various utility bills (electricity, telephone) due to non availability of sufficient funds.

ICICI bank customer care officer has told me that as per there rule, they freeze my account. My question is,
Is there any RBI rules regarding this!!!

Please guide me how can I reopen my account and to lodge a proper complaint against the ICICI bank ltd. regarding the mental and financial harassment which I have been undergoing since the inception of this matter.
Your guidance is desirable.
