    Default Makemytrip.com - Refund not processed even after a month

    I had booked my ticket for with booking ID NF25138604117 for a trip from Delhi to Bangalore on 03 November 10 for a Jet Lite flight. I couldn't make it on time, so had to cancel my booking, which I did an hour before the departure. After haggling for a couple of days, my cancellation was finally confirmed on Mon, 15 Nov' 2010 with an expected refund date of Mon, 22 Nov' 2010.

    From this date till today, I have called at least 15 times, with the following reference numbers: IN1011R0065884, 101124-019434, 101127-022175. I have got this escalated till the supervisor level. All of them have been telling me that the refund is in process, but I don't see any progress on the same. I would like to raise a complaint on this travel agent and help me get the refund through with due interest for the delays caused for no mistake of mine. I am ready to provide any details required from me for getting this case through.

    Update: I have spoken to 2 supervisors - Rahul Agarwal and Ejaz. I was promised that I would get a return call within 24 hours, but there was no response whatsoever. Nobody in the call center is ready to give me the contact details of higher ups in the organization so that I can take my case through them. Visiting the local office in Bangalore also did not help. I got a reply saying they deal only with physical booking and paper tickets. All online bookings have to be dealt with through the call center. Please take this case and help me get a refund quickly from this organization.

    Thanks for your response. But it was exactly the same response I got when I first made the request, i.e on November 15th. Then on November 23rd, 29th - It was the same statement 'Will reflect in your account in 5 working days'. Then on Dec 2nd I was told that the transfer is made and is reflecting as successful in the system. It would be my account within 10 working days at the maximum. Now you tell me the same thing, 'wait for 5 business days'? Can you please pull up your executive who gave me a wrong status? And further, can you please send me the Reference number for the transaction that you have initiated, so that I can verify the validity of the same?

    Discounting Saturday and Sunday, we are done with 5 business days now. Can you please update the status of the refund now? I don't see it in my account as yet.

    It is over 5 Business days now since the response and a month + week since I requested for a refund. I still don't see the refund in my account. Can you please take a complaint on the organization?
    I would also like to know how would I be compensated monetarily for such a delay, since the company charges me Rs 250 [in addition to Rs 750 from airline] per ticket for a cancellation.

    Looks like this is a genuine fraud company. Its over 15 days since I got the above response, I'm still continuing to call all kinds of people in the company. Here are the names of 'SUPERVISORS' that I have spoken to so far:
    1. Raghu Aggarwal
    2. Ejaz
    3. Shylesh
    4. Pradeep Kumar
    5. Suresh Menon

    All these people have been giving me a standard statement 'The issue is escalated to accounts dept. Please wait for 72 hrs'.
    I don't see any response from TripHelp either. Its a Month & Half now since the original refund request. Still counting days, no refund.

    It is 57 days since I first made the refund request. It is for everybody on this forum to see. The representitive TripHelp has become uncommunicative after the response on 16th December, asking for 72 hours!!
    Meanwhile I am adding a 6th member to the list of people that I am communicating with:
    1. Raghu Aggarwal
    2. Ejaz
    3. Shylesh
    4. Pradeep Kumar
    5. Suresh Menon
    6. Rizwan

    I am going to keep posting on this forum until the company really wakes up. I want this thread to act as an eye opener for all consumers who deal with this fraudster company.
