    Default HSBC & TATA AIG Issue

    Hi,

    I was using HSBC CC from 2007 to 2009. I was paying all my bill before due date without fail. I never paid any late payment charge. But one fine evening I got a call from TATA-AIG Telemarketing girl for a Healthcare policy since I'm a HSBC CC customer. Even after I told that I don't want any policy, she proceed to talk for a longtime and I lost concentration on her words.

    Once she finished her explanation she asked my details for the policy. I said no I don't want the policy. She replied, taking the policy is my(I) wish & can be cancelled if I'm not willing and I'll get some documents to go thru. I said ok send me the documents first then I'll let you know about my confirmation.

    Finally she started collecting all my details. At last she read my Credit Card number and asked whether it is correct. I said'YES' since what she read is correct. Finally she asked 'CAN I TAKE YOUR DEBIT AUTHORIZATION'. I said yes as usual. Finally she debited the amount from my CC account. I got SMS in my mobile. Right immediately I called TATA-AIG and Cancelled the policy. I got money back after 3 weeks. I got SMS for refunding of money.

    When I get the next HSBC CC statement it was still showing the amount. Statement shows double debit for same transaction. So I called HSBC and told it is mistake from their end and I will not pay the money. The HSBC Customer care person neither advised me to come out of the problem nor responding me properly. I was terribly angry on that fellow.

    Recently I got a call from HSBC customer care to pay the due with late payment charge. Otherwise it is not possible for me to get loan, new credit card, travelling abroad and etc., I was scared and paid double the amount of what TATA-AIG took from my account. I spoke to HSBC manager to get back my money since I'm not responsible for what had happened. Initially she pretend like helping me. After my dues are over she is not replying to my mails and avoiding my calls. If I catch her after long trying, she will say SERVER is slow, She is out of office and etc.,

    I surfed in net and found some complaints similar to my problem. I'm posting this message to find out any other way to get my money back. Friends please do let me know if there are any possibilities to try out.

    Please find my Policy Numbers below

    1. HCP85000004818
    2. HCP85000004819
    3. HCP85000004820

    Plan : Health Care Plus Plan
    Policy Inception Date : 16-Oct-2009

    And all I wanted is a statement/valid proof from you that TATA-AIG didn't take the amount twice for the policy. If that is possible I can speak with HSBC. Because I suspect that the problem is from HSBC side.

    As of now I have policy cancelled statement original copy. This will not much because the great mistake from my side would be I don't have the HSBC statement when this happened.

    Hi All,

    Thanks Almighty..!!

    The issue has been resolved. The issue was with HSBC. They did wrong transaction 2nd time. I kept in touch with info@hsbc.co.in for long time. Provided all the mail proofs/statements etc(around 300 Pages). Had numerous discussion with many different HSBC support team for explaining the issue. After a longtime they agreed the mistake is from their side and returned all the money that has been wrongly taken and late payment charges for the same.
