I, Archana Vasant Sule residing at B-410, Mahavir Varsha CHSL, Sec-6, Ghanasoli, Navi Mumbai-400701 writing this complaint against the Medical shop owners who have dealt with me unprofessionally and inhumanly.
My father Mr Vasant Gangadhar Sule (Age: 65 yrs) suffered from ‘Large acute infarct’ in cerebellum and developed ‘Basilar artery occulusion’ in the brain. My father had been residing at Pune and was treated at Poona Hospital for above ‘Chronic brain damage’. He was in Poona Hospital from Aug 12 to Sep 1, 2010 and thereafter shifted from Pune to ‘Divine Hospital’ , Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai for ‘Nursing Purpose’. His duration in Ghansoli hospital was from Sep 1 to 18, 2010. It was utmost important to have all equipments at home at time of shifting. Therefore, I received a contact detail of M/s Krishna Medical and Surgicals from ‘Just Dial’ services. We contacted M/s Krishna Surgicals, Shop No-2, Javahar Nagar CHS, (Harbour Estate) Sec.-19A, Nerul (E). who provides surgical equipments and related instruments on rental basis. I needed following medical equipments for my father.
a) Hospital bed, b) Suction machine c) Pules O2 meter.
So I paid Rs.8000/-as a deposit for above equipments and Rs. 2250 as a monthly rental charges to M/S. Krishna Medical, Nerul on 17/09/2010. Therefore, total amount paid was Rs.10,250. ). I have attached the receipt with this complaint.
My father has been in coma and completely bed ridden and has no control on any part of his body. Medically he has been declared as ‘Permanent Veggie’ (PV). Two nurses have been hired on 12hrs basis, who take complete care of my father at my residence. On 15th Nov while shifting my father’s position on the bed, one leg out of 4 legs of the bed broke and the bed was inclined. Somehow myself and the nurse could manage to keep a stool (small table) near the broken leg of bed. For the same I called Krishna Medical’s owner on 9892367451 and asked him to arrange a new bed or make arrangements to repair the broken leg of the bed he had supplied.. He assured to send his person on 16th Nov. in the morning. Nobody from his side turned up on 16th Nov. It was impossible to keep my father in upright position which is very essential to avoid lung infection and breathing problem. I continuously followed the owner of Krishna Medical and his person, but no one turn up on 16th Nov. Being a sole breadwinner of my family I was unable to purchase the equipments at the same instance nor those were available anywhere. My father has bedsoars and a abcesses in the lower back region as his position could not be changed.. I was in deep trouble. I urged the owner of Krishna Medical to arrange and do something at the earliest, but he never turned up and argued with me over phone and uttered very wrong and unethical words with me and never attended my complaint. On the contrary he threatened me to withdraw his equipments. On 18th Nov. in the evening he did not lift his phone from 9.45pm to 10.15pm and after that he switched off his mobile. So I called the other mobile no 9768576258 he has given, which belongs to his partner. I told him the whole story and he said he knew everything.. He argued with me that you are responsible for the damage of the bed and he cannot do anything till he gets any replacement or otherwise he will withdraw his equipments immediately. I got deep shock when I listened to his statement that “All is happing (his illness, medical emergencies etc) because of your own karma (luck) and I am not responsible for that”. I lost every hope about any help from his side. My father had deep trouble in breathing as I could not keep him in upright position. Next day on 19th Nov 2010, I somehow collected Rs.20,000/- from my friends and relatives and contacted M/S. Nemade Surgical Systems to buy the equipments and explained him my urgency about the equipments. He supported me to the best of his resources and arranged the equipments in one day and sent them to my residence.
I have suffered a lot mentally as well as financially due to the rude, inhuman, unethical and unprofessional behavior of the owner of M/S. Krishna Medical and surgical. I sincerely feel that they should be boycotted for their act which they have done with me and may be doing with all with whom they deal. Their act is shameful for their profession and they should compensate me with a sum of Rs.25000/- in addition to the deposit and rent I have paid. I have paid them. I sincerely request the concerned authorities to send him a show cause notice and cancel his license immediately.
I have faith in our judicial system and I hope that concerned authorities will take necessary action in this matter.
