Fraudulent Call

Today evening (10.11.2010) I received a missed call from an unknown number. Due to problem of visibility in my mobile screen, I dialed back to find out who it was. The voice on the other end answered saying that I ( my mobile number) had won a lottery of Rs. Twenty Five Lakhs from Bharti Airtel and Dish TV and to win this prize I need to call Senior Advisor of Bharti Airtel Mr. Rajesh on 00923428331623 and I can dial the same number from my phone now.

I dialed up to find out what this is all about and the person introducing himself as Rajesh listened my call. He said they were from Airtel's Delhi Head Office and I had won a lottery of Rs.2500000. He informed me that I had won the lottery and to win that amount I need to buy Recharge Coupons of Dish TV (Ghar Ayi Zindgi / ITZ) worth Rs.10,500 but only those that Have Shahrukh Khan's photograph on them. I was once again told that I need to buy these coupons as early as possible so that he may prepare my file to put up to the authorities the next morning and call back the on the same number to give the details of the coupons to them after which they will arrange for handing over the Prize Money to me in my nearest SBI bank branch in the presence of media.

However I was told not to disclose this matter to anyone else till I buy all coupons with the reason that the Airtel people may check my number and trace all calls, sms that will be made to/from my simcard. I can also not exchange this sim, copy the same, use fraud sim of the same number and if any such thing is found I will lose my award money. I was also told that the Rs.10500 coupon money that I will be spending will also be refunded back to me later.

It is worth mentioning here that in this conversation, I lost about Rs. 150 from my Airtel balance for making this call.

I am amazed and shocked at such fraud calls...why will big companies pay me any money and why am I to buy coupons of Airtel Dish TV worth Rs.10,500 whereas I do not have any Dish TV connection at my residence. I hereby formally lodge a complaint and request a prompt action by the Police authority to bring the culprits to the light.

i receive a intenet call and a person told me i win a lottery of 10 lakh after that he send me a msg from net mobile no. in which a cheque no. and lottery no. is there .After some hours he again calling me and said you purchase dishtv coupens card of 11000 rs then this amount will be traneer nn your account...

Hi, I am using airtel service from last two month and my cell no. is 8800776632. On 10th of October I sent request for activating Internet on my SIM and i got message from 121 that please confirm by sending message ACTGPRS TO 121. I did that. and i got message that I will be charged rs198 for this. But on 14th October i got message that I am reaching my credit limit. So, i called customer care and asked him that about details. He said that I used Internet dat's why it reached 1000. Then i told him that i activated 198 plan on my sim. He replied that this plan was activated only for 4 days and after that they activated 10 ps per kB plan on my sim. without sending any confirmation message to me nd without my premission. And on 19th of October, again I got mesage that I reached 3000rs so i should make immedate payment of rs 2000 otherwise they will disconnect my service. So, i called customer care again. and the guy Mr. Dinesh told me that this service is actived on my SIM from 14th October. Even i never sent any request on 14th. and if You activated this plan on my SIM then why don't you send any message so i should aware of this. Now i am contacting many person from Airtel and everytime i got bad response. One person Mr. Anoop kumar he spoke very rudely. Please give me proper solution otherwise I will file complaint against you. As I am having proof that on 10th of October, I got message from you that the plan of 198 has been activated on my system. And if I have credit limit of rs 1200 then how I reached 3000. Why not you disconnect my service at 1200 and informed me regarding that.

Airtel lottery is not a realy. please do not fall for it they shall call and tell you your number has won 15 kakh and then asked you for lottery tax to pay and get the lottery ticket. which you will never get it is fake

i have rcvd today a call from num: +923327403185 which was said to be from Airtel Mumbai Office number, they have clarified our SIM number and have told our number has won 10 lac. , they have asked to do a recharge of Rs 222 and call them back with Identification details & bank a/c num, for funds transfer. After doing the recharge we have called them back with the details as asked on which they have asked us to visit the nearest SBI bank branch to make a deposit in their a/c to get the link to access the funds in my own Bank branch, which we denied as it sounded bit vague. My compliant goes on this fake call who get our vital details and can use the same somewhere else to fool others.

After hearing this i declined and asked him to return back the amount of Rs.14,000/-, for which he said only half will be paid on Monday (8-11-2010). I contacted him on Monday to which he said that the amount will be paid on Tuesday by 11:00 a.m. So I called the person today to which he said check your account the amount is already transfered. When I checked there was no amount credited in our account. When I called him back informing this, then again he told me to purchase Dish TV ITZ coupons worth Rs.2500/-. This ultimately means that the person and the organization is a fraud and dosn't intend to return any amount or give the lottery amount. I don't know how many more peoples are being victimised by Airtel's lottery system.This is a mental harrasment which happened because we trusted AIRTEL Company. I request that if my mobile number has won 10 lac Rs. I should be payed the same without any condition as I have already paid Rs.14,000/- through coupon or else I should be paid back my Rs.14,000/-. No terms and conditions have been conveyed to us before the transaction. I request this forum to do justice.

AIRTEL IS A CHEATING FRAUD COMPANY. IT IS LIKE BEGGING CUSTOMERS FORCIBLY,I AM a Prepaid user,and with out my notice , i was subscribed to Airtel Radio , and my amount got deducting automatically,so i called the customer care after a long struggle with IVRS options,press 1,press2...press 0 etc,Eureka i got a link to cutomer care after pressing 9,thank god, when i asked them what is Airtel Radio, they said it is a radio for which you should pay and you subscribed to it. i said why the fcuk should i subscribe to paid radio when i can get a bunch of radio station s for free...I started to argue with them and told to take my complaint,and return my deducted amount.after a long struggle i received my amount balance back. this Scene has repaeated TWO TIMES, and the fcuk the CUSTOMER CARE is a PAID Service charging 50ps/3 minutes, then why dont they give a direct calling customer care number,i have to listen to all the options on voice respnse sytem,patiently waiting for the word PRESS 9 for customer care..oh GOD ...Its really good to Cancel my number and Take some IDEA or DOCOMO.. The TRUTH is AIRTEL doesnt like 1ps/1sec,because it is Reducing its profit..AIRTEL IS CRYING with 1ps/1 sec plan and somehow wants to get its profit back,so They are using CHEAP TRICKS like AIRTEL RADIO,CALLER TUNE,50 ps for calling CUSTOMER CARE,RC 27 recharge for getting 1ps/1sec offer for 6 months etc, THis is only for Prepaid users ROBBERY,GOVT or TRAI should take serious action on this issue. 20 crores of Airtel users with only one rupee each day ,brings 29 crore rupees profit/day to AIRTEL.Easy way of White Collar crimes..

Today i have received a missed call from 923247504972. When i called back person on the call told me that i have won a cash prize of 15 lakh rupees and told me to call on this number00923227795435, then he will tell me complete details about my prize. Later when drop my call my whole balance gone which is nearly of 35 rupees before call.

So i request you to please take some action against this.
