    Default PVR refund service - A different positive story

    I am afraid I will have to differ with the majority here as I found PVR's customer service on failed transactions quite satisfactory. I dont consider myself a regular when it comes to posting comments on online forums but I felt I owe this one to PVR who have been receiving considerable flak going by all the comments here. And most of us here (at the risk of making a generalising assumption) write a comment only when we want to whine and complain and rarely do we spend time to write a positive feedback once the issue that we are facing is resolved.

    To cut a long story short, I too faced a similar failed transaction issue with PVR recently and this was for a ticket that I had booked online using my netbanking account two months back. Must admit, that there was no working customer care number when I wanted to ring them up. But that should not have prevented me from dropping an email to their customer care folks. The lazy pessismist (fuelled by all the negative comments in forum such as this one) somehow kept me away from writing an email to PVR. However, I did try checking with my banker (whom I know to be prompt in providing such assistance) and also with the payment gateway CC avenues (wasnt able to reach them, the number didnt work and my email to them didnt elicit a response). And after two months, when I was enduring a bout of shallow-pocketitis(!) I thought I might give this refund claim another try. Called up CC avenues again who confirmed that the issue is with PVR. Wrote them a clear email (pvrsupport@pvrcinemas.com) with the transaction ids and order ids (which CC avenues gave me). The response was prompt promising a refund in 14 days which eventually happened in 2 days!! Made me feel they are not that bad after all as the mood here in this forum seems to suggest!!

    Althought I agree that 2 months is a long time for PVR to have not done a reversal by themselves, I must admit I was equally at fault for not registering a complaint all this while. And once I got around to doing it, the response was GOOD!

    With all due respect to the feelings of all the nay sayers here (who have reason to feel cheated), I believe the service is now much improved...only that we need to know where to go knocking.

    Angry Non refund of online deduction @ PVR Chennai

    My name is Ajeesh Chandran. I too got cheated by PVR people.
    I tried an e-booking on PVR cinemas at Sky walk Chennai on 5th of May 2011 and the
    after entering all my credentials the transaction showed success from bank level
    and while returning back to the merchants site it showed that the
    transaction got failed and the money debited will be credited back to your
    account till now i haven't received the money that is the money haven't
    been credited back into my account till now. When i contacted the bank.
    People there informed me that "According to the confirmation received from
    the relevant department, we request you to contact the merchant at their
    email avenue@pvrlimited.comfor the referred concern." I contacted the
    merchant and there was no response from their side. I've mailed them frequently for nearly 10 times but there was no response. When i tried calling there was no response as well. When i went there to ask in person people over there vent their anger over me saying that "mail to the concerned department of PVR". I tried everything and finally i'm posting this here. So can anyone suggest any idea in order to get my money back?
    Please consider this as important and do the needful.

    The Transaction amount is INR 750.00 (twice) so INR 1500.00 have to be credited.
    The Transaction Description is
    INET/PAY/Avenues India/XXXXXXXXX673 and INET/PAY/Avenues India/XXXXXXXXX769.

    Hi,

    Today I have booked 4 tickets in PVR naraina and later on our plan was changed to go to some other place. When I tried to cancel the tickets, i found no option for that in the website. When we called PVR customer care, no one picked the call. On the way we have gone to PVR saket and talked to them and they called to PVR naraina and told to cancel my booking tickets. They said in the starting that tickets have been cancelled. But later when we asked for the money refund, they said its not possible(PVR naraina people said this). My booking number is NARA0000873512 for the telugu movie PANJAA. Please help me out in this situation for the money refund.

    Default no refund of tickets from PVR

    I tried to book tickets for Mission Impossible 4 in Bangalore PVR 2 days back, and I got charged on my credit card for Rs 540/- but tickets were not booked. How can I get the refund back? I see that PVR cinemas are not even having a telephone complaint number. I got a mail saying refund would be done 2 days back, but it has still not happened. For a reputed organization like PVR, this service is really disappointing. Is there anyone who can help me with the procedure to refund this? What am I supposed to do with the complaint number if there is noone whom I can report this issue to? I guess I would never want to use PVR cinemas anymore.

    Default Same Problem @ PVR Bangalore



    I tried booking tickets for a telugu movie "NIPPU" on 22nd February 2012. My Credit card was chared for Rs 540/- but tickets were not booked. Tried calling the customer care number from Bangalore yellow pages and no one is picking it. I have visited PVR in person and the people at booking counter said they do not have any customer contact and the amount will be refund in one weeks time. Nothing of such happened.Could someone help me with the procedure to refund this? Thanks in advance.

    Default Axis bank account debited but no email send by PVR

    I booked 4 tickets online for Avengers show and did not receive an email or sms regarding my purchase. The amount was debited right away. What do I need to do? It is 1400 for the 4:50 show.

    Please advise what I need to do.

    Hi ,


    I Have tried booking Dhamu(Telugu movie) at PVR mulund on 28-04-2012 and after amount is deducted from my Citi Bank Credit card the transaction got failed and i haven't got any acknowledgement or any refund and the same happened when i tried to book avengers(3d) from pvr oberoi on 04-05-2012 .


    They are not refunding the money and there is no customer service for this company.

    Default Online Booking on PVR CInemas failed - No response

    Dear Sir / Mam
    I made an online booking on just now for 2 seats for Ishaqzaade.The
    seats were in N row N1,N2 for Tomorrow 17.05pm at PVR INDORE on pvrcinemas.com and the payment was deducted from my online SBI banking for Rs. 390/- SBI Ref no IGA6303280 but the pvr web site did not complete the transaction - it straight away took me to the home page after accepting the payment. The booking does not show in my account on their site either--
    Kindly reverse the amounts in my bank account immediately

    Please revert on priority
