I am an army officer. After a long stint in field areas, i had an oppurtunity to serve in one of the metro of India, ie Chennai. After getting posted here in Sep 09, i took an AIRTEL DIGITAL TV south mega package connection in Dec 09. During purchase and installation, we were offered a package in which it was advertised that if u pay for 10 months, there will be an addl credit of two months. We took this package in Dec 2009 AFTER PAYING FULL AMOUNT OF Rs 3050 approx. Now ie on 28 Oct 10 after exactly 10 months, i have been intimated through automated SMS, that either to recharge or the SERVICES will be suspended. They did not give any credit for two months.
I approached the customer care on 28 Oct 10 immediately and a got confirmation too that the two months have been now credited, ironically today ie 29 Oct 2010, the customer care has different story to tell. They have informed that U DO WHAT EVER U WANT, U WILL NOT BE given any credit, since u have not place any request for the time. This is totally illogical. Total fraudulant and cheating, more during purchase, this condition was not even intimated. It is something like if a firm advertises that if u recharge a mobile for Rs 50/- u will get additional talk time of 10 minutes, ands when u recharge, the 10 min should automatically get credited into your account, which has not been done in this case by AIRTEL, Instead they want special request to be made after the purchase has been done
I want to approach consumer court for this for justice in the matter, kindly advise please. My mobile no. 9042523527
