SBI ppf account transfer
(Reg PPF account transfer - A/C No 1105340521) We have personally visited SBI vilupuram branch on 15-Oct-2009 and met The cheif manager requesting for PPF account transfer to coimbatore. We were asked to handover the original passbook and a letter to The chief manager. We were promised that this will happen in a week’s time and account will be transferred to coimbatore branch ID - 827. We visited coimbatore branch thrice to know this was not happened. We have sent a register post on 20-Nov-2009 and an email on 29-Jan-2010 and even RBI complaint number F200910006008833/ 2009-10 to them.
We have spent around Rs.10000 against our travel expenses following this acount transfer. But hope their managers are very busy for the past 1 year. We have tried their phone numbers several times but in vain. Phone calls are not answered. Even their cheif accounts manager from coimbatore tried contacting them on 25th of January 2010 by hotline and their landline numbers but in vain.
We have undergone huge travel expenses and personal stress under this violation of customer rights.

I had requested for a PPF account transfer from SBI, Thakur Complex, Mumbai to SBI, Green Glen Layout, Bellandur, Bangalore in November, 2012. The manager in the Bellandur Bangalore branch (080-25740709) Anushree assured that the transfer will happen but will take a month's time. However, several visits to the bellandur branch, did not help. They would just not disclose whats happening.
Finally, my husband had to go to Mumbai on 17th January, 2013 and met the Thakur complex branch manager. He said that the account had been closed on 5th december, 2012 and the draft had been couriered to the Bangalore branch on 6th december, 2012.
Nobody had any clue as to what happened to the courier and my money. Finally, my husband got a call from the bellandur branch manager that they have tracked the courier but the courier agency is unable to deliver the same as they have to search for the courier in their office. My belief is that they have lost the courier.
The worst part is nobody is taking up the accountability of owning this issue and everybody is just playing blame game. Tday, 22nd Jan'13, i went to the SBI Bangalore branch and met Ms.Anushree, who just mocked at me by saying that it is just a Rs.1170 PPF account. This is such a callous attitude by the SBI Bank personnel.
I only want my PPF account to be transferred properly and the SBI personnel to be more responsible and deal courteously with their customers.
