    Angry Threatning calls from RBS Bank for Credit Card Payment



    Hi,

    My name is Sarang S. Datye. I had a credit card account with the then ABN AMRO bank when I used to work in the software industry. I had closed this account in 2006/7. Unfortunately I do not remember the exact date since it is really long. I had cut the credit card and dropped it in the drop box in the branch located @ Taboot Street, Camp, Pune 411001.
    I am shocked that suddenly I have started getting threatening calls on Behalf of RBS with the name Anuradha Sharma at my residence, asking my parents to make a payment of 2280 Rs . They couldn't contact me because I was travelling.

    I was fortunate enough to speak to Ms Anuradha today since I was in town.
    1. She was extremely rude and arrogant to start with.
    2. She threatened to send "gundas" at my place to recover the money. [No wonder ABN AMRO closed down]
    3. She initally refused to tell her full name for records.
    4. She completely refused to give me the call back number and/or any identification indicating that she is actually speaking on behalf of RBS.
    5. Then she threatened to file a case in court (interesting as it gets).

    so I asked her the following information

    1. My CRN# (since I don't have the old records anymore).
    2. The last usage date of the credit card.
    3. Complete statement from the last usage date.
    4. Her full name for records again.

    She only provided me her full name as "Anuradha Sharma" and refused to give me any other information and final hung up on me when I started questioning her.

    Then I called RBS customer care (Shailesh) to inform this. Instead of helping me out, they were stuck on asking me the exact postal address of the office that I used to working in 5 years back. Honestly I don't remember it. He refused to help me.

    1. My parents are emotionally super stressed for a megre Rs 2280 which the bank is not ready to clarify but still wants to threaten.
    2. The bank didnt call me in last two years to indicate any pending amount and suddenly after close to 4 years they come up with a fictitious pending amount of 2280!!!

    I am pretty sure that I had paid the final pending amount and then on advice of the ABN AMRO customer care, I had cut and dropped the credit card in the drop box in the camp branch.

    I am feeling highly frustrated and emotionally harrassed with these repeating incidents and bullying from the now Royal Bank Scotland (RBS).

    Please advice on how to deal with this issue.

    Default Rbs

    Hi,

    After the surrendering the ABN AMRO Credit Card, and i have a paid a 12 months installment, now i am asking for the final settlement and they are saying that how can i give a final settlement, and they are keep on calling and threatning that i will do this and do that, i will send people to your house and so on.
