    Default Complain against IRCTC

    I am a frequent traveller through Indian Railway and hence I am a frequent user of IRCTC service for booking my tickets.

    I booked one ticket through IRCTC (PNR No. 8235008417) on 11-09-2009. The journey date was 25-09-2009. The three passengers had confirm reservation in 2nd AC of 9221-Veeraval Express (From Ahmedabad to Veeraval station). The berth nos. were A1-40, A1-42, A1-38. When they boarded the train, there were somebody else on their seats. The TTE confirmed of some mistake in the reservation procedure and allotted them three births in 3rd AC coach of the same train. He also issued certificate for granting refund. The scanned copy of it is available with me.

    In the month of October'09 (maybe, I am not sure as I am not able to check the exact date through IRCTC and it is very old issue), I filed the TDR for the above mentioned PNR. While filing the PNR, I clearly stated that I only want the difference of fare back, i.e. the difference between 2nd AC and 3rd AC fare. No where I claimed that the passengers have not travelled. I think my claim was reasonable.

    On 20-11-2009, I got mail from TDR Team stating that "With Reference to your PNR No:8235008417, we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : IPC/REGRET/08-09/57/05.11.9/WR".

    On 02-01-2010, I mailed IRCTC with the scanned copy of the refund certificate issued by TTE, that I only want back the difference of fare. And I have never claimed that the persons had not travelled.

    On 11-01-2010, I got mail from Shri Ved Prakas of TDR Team, IRCTC stating that "Sorry for the inconvenience. Please send your Original Guard Certificate vide PNR No.-8235008417 , which is given by TTE to you. In absence of Original GC. refund can not be processed. for reopen your case. So, Please send your GC. to process the refund at below given address:- To, General Manager (OPS), Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd., 9th Floor, Bank of Baroda Building, 16, Parliament Street, New Delhi 110001".

    I could not send the original refund certificate to the said address, as the passenger had misplaced the certificate already. So, I accepted the fact that I would not get any refund and believed that the issue has been closed.

    Surprisingly, on 13-08-2010, I got mail from IRCTC stating that "It is noted that the following user-id raks061185 PNR No:-8235008417 has been filed by you for TDR through online mechanism. It is informed by the railways to IRCTC that in all these cases person have travelled and still claims for refund are filed. Please inform the reasons for this fraudulent activity on your part. You user id has been temporarily deactivated now. If any further clarification please mail to care@irctc.co.in."

    I clarified the issue to care@irctc.co.inon 12-08-2010. I also send them the previous mail correspondence and the scanned copy of the refund certificate. Since then, I have at least given three follow up mails to IRCTC, but did not got any response.

    Last time on 29-09-2010, I got responce from IRCTC to resubmit my case through mail. I have done that, but still I have not heard from them.

    My user ID has not been reactivated till date, leave apart the refund. Three more TDR is pending in my account, but as my user ID is deactivated I am not gettign back the refunds.

    Can I get some justice?

    Ph: 011- 23345900 "Sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly note that your refund case of PNR No. 4119471558 has been forwarded to CCM/Southern Railway, Chennai on dt. 05-aug-2010 for further processing. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.

    Unhappy complaint pnr no. 6349798733

    I am ajit I received half of money in above pnr no. 6349798733. Since the train was more than 3 hr. late I am entitled for full return of money .I applied in tdrprocess@irctc.com within a month of departure of the train for my remaining amount but till date I did not received my full money. KINDLY SEE INTO THE MATTER AND resolve my problem as soon as possible

    Default irresponsible activity by IRCTC

    Hi,

    From last five years I have been using an irctc to book a railway ticket for personnel use as and when required, today on 1st sept when I login to book an tatkal ticket for Mumbai – delhi, it ask to update an profile, but eventually time is running out, still I update the profile and again re-login, there again it pops up to fill an Mobile Verification Code, which will come via sms on mobile, but I did not received the same, when I call to customer care at Delhi, helpdesk person ask me to wait for an hour.
    This is ridicules when an mobile verification code need to be send then why an hour it should take, as we all know how ticket is booked across India, because of this all of sudden change I have to go an severe stress to again rearrangement of my tour.
    This act of IRCTC been looked as an individual policy change procedure without prior informing to an customer.

    Default Clarification of my cancilation of ticket

    Dear sir,

    this is godi kishore babu,pnr:1352612862,tran id:0401278144. I have cancelled my e-ticket on 17-oct-2011 at about 7.00 pm.
    The cost of ticket rs.240, after cancelation of my e-ticket i receive a message that is rs.120 will be refunded. So give the clarification about my e-ticket

    Default TDR refund not received for PNR 8354412783 Travell on Travelled on 2nd June 2011

    I am frequently travel through train, but this time out of my four family member tickets only two get confirmed as RAC and remaining two remain in waiting list, so only two member travel and file TDR for remaining two tickets. TDR file since 10th june 2011 by IRCTC customer care itself and i have taken more than 20 times followup of the same till date but there is same reply that we have forwarded to Railway authority and we will get back to you as n when we get refund details. but till now, i am waiting for my TDR refund.

    They are also not giving any direct no of Railway Authority and replying me that only IRCTC can send reminder to them.

    Now what to do???

    On IRCTC its mention that Refund process will take 60 to 90 days but in my case almost 150days and more but till now no progress.

    Whom to complain???

    can any one help me out in this issue.

    Default Two Deduction of Rs.1088 on 16 Nov and17 Nov.

    Dear Sir,
    While booking e ticket on 16 Nov 2011,PNR No.4435321328 Rs.794 was debited to my debit card at2126 and at 2149 Rs.1088 was deducted without any ticket issue?

    Also next day on Nov.17,Rs.1088 was debited at 2058 in the attempts of bookin ticket, without issue of any ticket ans after that My PNR No1153888904 was issued at 2218.

    These two deductions transfered to indiaideas.com limited, E/510 Crystal Plaza, New link road Andheri Bombay, this has been confirmed by my PNB manager.

    Could you please help me get my money back?

    Default Platform tickets availability at bangalore jun

    After 8pm platform tickets are not available at 8th platform of
    bangalore junction counters

    there is police checking of platform tickets and heavy fine on found without platform ticket

    the platform ticket vending machine either will be breakdown or not maintained correctly

    and in the counters where journey tickets are issued they deny platform ticket

    is it our mistake to travel in trains leaving bangalore junction
    departing from 7,8,9,10 platform after 8 o clock in the night???????????????????

    On 3.12.11 i had made ticket but from my a/c money was deducted two times though i was alloted only one
    so i request you to return my money...

    Hi,

    I am from Noida, Facing lot of problem of platform ticket. when i reached station and not able to get platform ticket or need to be part of long lines. two times i have to pay 360/- rupees from the railways duties member named ( Mr. Satendra singh). I have given lot of excuse but he could not understand. He is following very liner approach, I have given lot of proof that i am here to leave some. But he is not able to understand. he just want 360/- ruppes. he is working like mindless machine.


    My concerns is that if i am creating online eticket for my family so why not i have platform ticket online also.

    Please do something so that i do not need to face some mindless or clueless or illiterate human machine. its very unfair for the person who come to drop family.

    Please do something when we are creating e-ticket also please provide some online e-platform ticket option also.

    Because its very painful for normal person he is not able to purchase platform ticket because of long ques(lines).

    Please do some thing i do not want to waist my my some fool people. they are not human they are typical machine.

    Default Complain against Non Travelling

    Subject-
    Complain against PNR -2339245442 ,2808723542 ,2708725133 ,2501931366 for non travelling in Purshottam Exp/No-12802 on 25-sep-2012
    due to late arrival of Danapur Tata Exp.

    Dear sir,
    we the passenger were travelling on 25-sep-2012 from jasidih railway station to Tata by Danapur Tata Express, but the train was 3 hours late and reached at Tata in 9:30PM for which we all the 22 number of passengers failed to board in Purshottam Express at Tata to Puri against the above PNR No in the Train No 12802/ Purshottam Express. Further we travelled from Tata to puri by bus on the next day on 26-sep-2012 .
    So we request you , to refund the ticket fare for the above passengers as we could not travelled on 25-sep-2012 by Train No 12802/ Purshottam Express from Tata to puri .

    Default Supposed to get refund full amount as the train running late by 3 hours

    PNR No.6311441646, Filed TDR on 16th July 2012, Got refund amount only Rs.132/- out of Rs.266/-where as I am supposed to get FULL AMOUNT AS THE TRAIN IS LATE BY MORE THAN 3HOURS.
    wrote many times to care@irctc.co.in(Re: Fw: Re: Fw: PNR No.6311441646,TDR Ref: No.ekt2012071605212350).
    I am not getting any response,
    Please help me to get full refund amount.

    Angry irctc tatkal booking

    this is worst site i ever seen. It is impossible to book ticket in talkal. You need almost 3-4 hr just to log in.

    too slow site, how this IRCTC is customer friendly... Govt. should banned this site & give a chance to other who cares for customer services not money....
