ticket amount refund Dear,
Sir/Maim
I was cancel my ticket and applying for return money by TDR file. on 19-09-2010 Ticket PNR No. 2310535845. but right now i get only 137.00Rs. But train is late more then 3 hours on 18-09-2010.
by irctc rule In case train is running late more than 3 hrs- full fare will be refunded.So why deduct 50 % charges on my ticket.I also complained to irctc customer care but right i did not get any response. So I request you pls help me and refund my deducted fare.
Refund Rule by irctc
* In case train is cancelled by the Rlys due to accidents, breaches or floods, Bandh or Rail Roko agitation etc- full refund of the fare of entire booked journey will be granted .On line cancellation can be done up to 72 hrs.
* In case train is running late more than 3 hrs- full fare will be refunded.
* In case proper coach is not attached-Difference of fare between the booked class and lower travelled class will be refunded. Certificate from the TTE (in original) for the lower class travelled is must to claim for refund.
* a. In case of AC failure of AC1class/Executive class- Difference of fare between AC1class or Executive class and First Class will be refunded for the distance AC not worked. Certificate from the TTE (in original) for the AC not worked is must to claim for refund.
b. In case of AC failure of AC2/AC3 class- Difference of fare between AC2/AC3 class and Sleeper Class will be refunded for the distance AC not worked. Certificate from the TTE (in original) for the AC not worked is must to claim for refund.
c. In case of AC failure of AC chair car class- Difference of fare between AC chair car class and second class will be refunded for the distance AC not worked. Certificate from the TTE (in original) for the AC not worked is must to claim for refund.
* In case Travelling without proper ID proof-will be considered without ticket and will be
charged accordingly. Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds can be approached for discretionary refund. Excess fare ticket (EFT) (in original) issued by the TTE is must to claim for refund.
* In case of wrongly charged by the TTE-full refund will be granted by the Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds. Excess fare ticket (EFT) (in original) issued by the TTE is must to claim for refund.
* In case party/ family partially travelled- refund will be granted by the Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds as per rule. Certificate from the TTE (in original) for the less passenger travelled is must to claim for refund.
* In case passenger not travelled- refund will be granted by the Chief Commercial Manager/Refunds as per extant Railway rule.
* Partially used reserved ticket by Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Jan Shatabadi Exp- No refund is allowed.
* In case Rlys is not able to provide accommodation-full refund will be granted.
* Refund on Tatkal Ticket- if it is cancelled up to 24 hrs before the scheduled departure of the train 25% excluding the Tatkal charges will be refunded. Thereafter no refund means would be zero refund.

Refund of failed Rail booking transac. @ Yatra.com Hi All,
On 18th Jan 2012 i attempted to book my rail ticket from Nizamuddin (New Delhi) to Hyderabad and from Scunderabad to Nizamuddin with YATRA.COM, but both the transactions failed after submission of credit card information to payment gateway. As i mentioned below Rs. 1771.00 for each transaction (total: 1771 + 1771 = Rs. 3542.00) was debited to my credit card. Today it is 5th feb 2012. By now i have not got my money back. i tried to contact customer care at these no. (1800 1029 900 | 1860 5000 500) but i did not find any choice to talk to them. i mailed them twice but in reply i got two booking request reference no. i.e. 8122212 and 8144764 (one each time). I am a Support Engineer at Amazon.com, i have never seen such an example of pathetic service in my life.

Refund due to travelling in lower class Sir/Madam
we booked a ticket in 2nd AC PNR NO.-2665074891, but due to some technical problem, we travelled in 3rd AC but concerned TTE didnot made certificate of travelling in lower class. therefore we couldnot get due refund, so kindly do the needful to get our refund.
