My father, aged 75, had bought a REVIVA water purifier from Eureka Forbes in 2004. For the past 5 years (ie. since the time the Warranty expired), he has been having an Annual Maintanance Contract with them. The first four years, the franchisee has come regularly to replace the filters. However, this year, they have not come at all. The last time they came to change filter was in August 2009. The AMC says that the "service contract is valid for the period 24/10/09 to 23/10/10." This was signed on 28/09/2009. The franchisee is claiming that the filter they changed in August 2009 was for the period 24/10/09 to 23/10/10. When we asked the franchisee to show us that for the five years we have had a service contract, they have changed the filer five times, they are unable to do so. We have paid Rs. 3,560 for this. My father is a retired person and this amount is quite large. We would be grateful if we knew what is to be done.
